Anyone else experiencing slide rust from carrying. Small spots of rust on slide and extractor after 3 months of carrying, just like the LCP. Other than the poor finish of the slide, I really like the pistol.
Yes, I use rem oil daily on the slide but I do carry in a leather IWB holster. My first Max-9 slide rusted so badly that I sent it back to Ruger. Ruger did put on a new slide free of charge. When I started EDC again with the Max-9 the new slide started to rust within a week. I now have it at a gunsmith to have the slide cerakoted in sniper green, he is confident that will fix the rust problem
Just bought one last week. I was impressed. For the price I thought it shot well. Shot a couple of hundred rounds out of it, the slide locked back in the middle of a mag though. Might have been me hitting the slide lock but was alittle odd cause I’ve never done that. Hope that doesn’t keep happening 🤷

Yes. Ruger has a terrible finish. Brand new guns will rust two or three days into carrying them
Not me but I use a Nemesis pocket holster plus wipe it down with Ballestol often.
