Just got one older model in great shape traded for a little gold

The cylinder on my new match champion contacted and scratched the lower frame when opening and closing. I had to file down and polish the frame. to make clearance for the cylinder to close. The match champion is supposed to be shimmed from the factory. There was only a single shim on the hammer and it looks like they used a smaller trigger sized shim. The hammer spring pushed the hammer tight against the left side of the frame. I had to install two proper sized .002" hammer shims in order to center the hammer. I had to file down the corners of the hammer serrations because they were razor sharp. The Match Champion is supposed to be a more refined version of the GP100. My Match Champ. made it out of the factory with many faults. I paid lots of $s for this gun and am not happy. If I bought some "Harbor Freight" type brand revolver, I would have understood having imperfections like this. The extra money I paid for the Ruger was not worth it.

I got a S&W model 60 revolver which is a shrunken version of the 686. It's a 5-shooter and it's got a 3" barrel. I think it's at least 15 ounces lighter than the 686 you have there, so it can still be carried around easily. Not exactly a snub-nose revolver but it's still in a j-frame. Great review of the 686.

I have a 43x with many magazines I have a 50 round pro mag drum for the 48 that fits a modified 19 30 rounder an ets 19 rounder and the factory flats but have yet to try the shield arms mags. Are they worth the money?

I love having a g48 and a 43. I can make my own 43x whenever I want

Great vid! For the last 25 years, I personally been carrying a S&W for off-duty and conceal carry! My off-duty was a 6906 but now retired I carry MP Plus. Any good quality firearm is a good choice for carry and self-defense. Remember it is better to have a good quality gun than to need one in a life threating situation. God Bless!

I’m a big 10 mm fan and this is one of my favorites!! Sometimes I hesitate to carry it, because I don’t want it scratched up. Springfield,10mm,1911- that’s a good combo right there!

I own both the Shield Plus and the P365. My EDC is the Shield Plus. It just feels better in my hand. But I will say the P365 feels to me to have less recoil. I'd had a few friends check too, and they all said the Sig had less recoil. Still I carry the Shield Plus.

I upgraded from my trusty G43 (OG) to the Shield Plus just over a year ago, and it's an amazing carry gun, and shoots so straight for a micro, I'm still impressed every time I go to the range.... With that said I find it ugly! Really is a tool for me 😎
