It's pronounced like "Prime-us." I recommend checking out "Tommy the Cat" for your next tune by them. Les Claypool has a goofy singing style, but is legit among the greatest Rock bass players of all time. They're adamantly opposed to doing serious songs - it's always kind of funny and wacky like this. I'd describe Primus' sound as if some metalhead hillbillies ate a bunch of mushrooms and decided to start a funk band. Which probably isn't that far from the truth.

Very few bands have been able to put this much talent together, be willing to share the limelight, or even just fall back into the mix, and had the longevity of Primus. A real testament to the artists that all 3 are. Ler is the godfather of death metal and Herb is the driving force behind the Primus groove. But, yes, Les is an absolute beast. Primus fan since 1993.
