You are the best I have done these trucks for 35 years I am building a 47 chevy panel truck now little slow here 100degree Temps now but I love building them thanks for all your tips and experiences you are great Ricky in Smyrna Tennessee
Thanks Ricky. A hundred in Tennessee? Yikes it must be miserable there. 106 here today but low humidity. Send me some pics of your project and I will showcase them at the end of a video. I have two other subscribers building panels right now. Mark
Don't beat yourself up Mark. I would think that was more of an awareness problem, than something you did wrong. But I do appreciate all the details you go into to help us all out! I really like Darren's upholstered side panels instead of the standard cardboard that came with the truck.!!
Thanks Doug, Yes the seats and everything came out super nice. I will do my best to show everything off on the last video for the truck before it goes home. Mark
Happened to me too. Ive had to get the touchup gun out a few times since big paint day. With all the reassembly comes paint scratches, chips, nicks, belt buckle and key scratches ( belt goes sideways like the old days and keys go in my pocket now) i now get out the harbor freight fender protector. I need 2 more
Put the fender protectors on your Christmas list, that's how I got mine 😁 I am super careful and have learned a lot of tricks over the years putting cars back together all by myself most of the time and no matter how careful it happens like you said. Most people just don't talk about the realities of these builds. Mark
@@charlespartak2435 mine are not super thick but work pretty well. Hooks and magnets help keep them in place. They look tiny on the giant 3100 fenders though...
@@FoothillPaintandFabrication i stick mine even with the hood and fender gap edge. Seems to be plenty hanging down to protect it. Way better than the old vinyl ones from back in the day.

Very informative Mark. I appreciate you showing how to fix real life stuff. Thank you for your time.
I wish I didn't NEED to show the repair but you are right this is real life stuff nobody talks about.

Mark, at least you found it and corrected the issue looks good. I like that blue!
Thanks, not my first screw up , hopefully my last.
