  • Today I decided to leave the big city of Merida, Mexico to visit Chelem. Chelem is a small beach town outside of Merida. It’s approximately thirty five minutes away from Merida.
If you’re looking for some fresh caught fish and some home style cooking, then take a visit to Chelem.
In the video, my friend Ryan shares his thoughts on moving from Merida to Chelem. You can find Ryan’s channel here: / @ryannagytravels

With all of my videos, my intention is to share with you the Merida lifestyle from my point of view, a black man living in Merida, Mexico. My objective is to be unbiased and honest about my experience.
Merida, Yucatán is an incredible city, filled with beautiful architecture, history, and delicious foods. From my first day in Merida, I fell in love with the city, and I'm sure you will too.
There's quite a bit to enjoy about Merida, including:
    - The culture, impressive architecture and historic buildings
    - The Yucatán foods
    - The cost of living in Merida, Mexico
    - Where to live in the city
    - The Merida night-life
    - The people within the expat community
    - The Safety
    - The Quality of Life
    - The Black Expat Community
    My Story
In 2010 my family and I sold our home and all unnecessary belongings to travel the world with our two boys and our dog. Today we are still traveling and currently live in Merida, Mexico.
If you have a desire to see the world, but just don’t know how to get started, then this channel is for you. I believe you'll agree that Merida is a place you will want to visit or even make your permanent residence.

Heading to Chelem alone for my first solo international voyage, super excited to get back to a small town life for a couple months after being in a city of 3.5m people. Thanks for the vid!!

Yes Chelem is really nice. I’ll be back soon. Do you know or recommend any local restaurant I can visit?

Love to move here, but really hard to house hunt from the UK with three small dogs.

@belltowndaisy sorry I meant it's hard to leave them, as under the paw to actually get on a plane and look for local for sale signs on local properties. Trying to do it all on the internet. Your dogs and cats are so lucky to have you. Thanks you for the support and advice.
