Thai stuntman Tony Jaa makes his starring debut in this martial arts action film directed by Prachya Pinkaew. Ja plays Ting, a young man living in a village in rural Thailand. Discovered as an infant on the steps of the town's temple and raised by monks who taught him the Thai martial art of muay thai, Ting is sent to Bangkok when the head of the town's statue of the Buddha, to which they pray to bring the annual rains to their drought-stricken region, is stolen. The country boy is plunged into the big city's seething criminal underworld, and forced to use his fighting skills to dispatch a parade of thugs in an underground fight club on his way to finding the criminal mastermind who stole the Buddha head so he can return it before drought and starvation bring his hometown to ruin.

The jump at 2:41 when he jumps through the 2 glass panels, will always be in memory for some reason. I remember watching it in 2003, and was amazed. 2020 I am still amazed.

But still... Jackie has went through several injuries from falling into heights.... Tony is more acrobatic and more flexible than Jackie.
I mean Jackie can do parkour and flippy stuff with things around him like chairs and tables... But Tony Jaa is a more flexible fighter than Jackie in their prime.

I love both Tony and Jackie, they are both legends. But just to be fair for those who thinks that Tony Jaa is better than Jackie Chan: What does Jackie is way harder than what Tony does because Jackie performs dangerous stunts for life like jumping from air balloon, jumping from the edge of the cliff and he uses his environment during the fight and uses his creativity, creates elements that doesn't exist in martial arts. Jackie does things that no one can he has unique style

What I love the most about this scene is the change of camera angles, letting us know there’s no strings attached and he’s actually doing all this by himself no stunt doubles, overall this scene is seriously historic! Love it

They didn't purchase those knives from the lady. They forcibly took it from her quickly and started chasing.
