Personally i think The Protector is his best work. The fight scenes in that movie r just incredible. The long one take fight scene is insane. And then the final battle is just bonkers. He breaks like 50 dudes’ bones at the end 🤣
Yeah, the fight choreography was insane in that movie. Especially the capoeira fight. Even though Lateef stole the show, you really got to see just how acrobatic Tony Jaa can be in that fight. Shame it got cut short because Lateef got injured.

Tony Jaa with Ong Bak as also The Revenge of the Warrior were such good movies! He totally was star meterial! Sadly Ong Bak 2 and 3 had nothing much to do with the first one and turned into some weird fantasy Stuff (Especially Ong Bak 3). People didn't like it at all. That was only working on really old times like all those Ninja and Shaolin fantasy stuff where they could fly around and had supoer human abillities... I guess that's why his own series ended with him as main character. Last movies which I watched with him was Jiu Jiutsu and Expendables 4 (Decha),
Good thing I have no misgivings about fighting him. An elbow is great for opening up eye brows and cheek bones. But dropping them on the top of a skull, with the force pretended in this fight scene would break your elbows too. That’s not saying anything about his ability to fight. The reason why Tony Jaa's films quickly lost popularity is probably because he has no rivals in his films. From start to finish, he's super strong. If you watch just one or two movies like this, you will get bored of them quickly. If you watch Jackie Chan's movies, you will immediately understand. The main character is always beaten, bleeding, and on the verge of death, but barely manages to win. But that is not the case in Tony Jaa's film. Tony Ja is very strong from the beginning and he is still very strong at the end of the movie. So, after watching two or three of his movies, you will quickly get tired of them.
You can really tell how much work Tony Jaa put into perfecting his skills. Absolute legend!

i went to THAILAND 1979-80 4months = wow i saw and learnt - but did not train in thailand friends showed and explained everything ! = great style with true spiritual and temple roots with battle history ! - and thousands of years history .

Personally i think The Protector is his best work. The fight scenes in that movie r just incredible. The long one take fight scene is insane. And then the final battle is just bonkers. He breaks like 50 dudes’ bones at the end 🤣
Yeah, the fight choreography was insane in that movie. Especially the capoeira fight. Even though Lateef stole the show, you really got to see just how acrobatic Tony Jaa can be in that fight. Shame it got cut short because Lateef got injured.

My son was 7years old when he saw this movie and he was soo fascinated he wanted to learn to fight like Tony jaa....
I'm pretty sure this fight sequence was the inspiration for the entire Yakuza series of games (which are fantastic for martial arts fans btw).
This movie did for Thailand what Enter the Dragon did for China.

It's called Muay Thai.
Good thing I have no misgivings about fighting him. An elbow is great for opening up eye brows and cheek bones. But dropping them on the top of a skull, with the force pretended in this fight scene would break your elbows too. That’s not saying anything about his ability to fight. It would totally send me to the hospital though lol
