I am living in US. And I tell you that even US don't have good road in many places, include capital and so on..been honest and reasonable. Russian has enormous land with little population. there is no way they can fix every single street.
There are no perfect roads anywhere in large countries. Germany is relatively much smaller than Russia but with quite number of people as you mentioned (still, back in Germany saw also some shittier roads too). For example, in Belarus roads are pretty much perfect. Russia would be able to create such roads too, if it decentralized little bit more and had higher budget in regional cities.
The video compares the manufacturing of new streets in Germany with filling some potholes in Russia. That is a bit silly. We don't use these kinds of machines to fill a pothole.
Also it makes the Russian workers look like bumblers. Maybe these men are, but I am always amazed of the creativity of Russian craftsmen. "We have to fix this car. We don't have the right tools. So, task number one: Make tools."
Russia also have Way less road and Way less cities compared to the US. They even have lots of cities that doesn't connected to the rst ofthe country. It's not an excuse.

Funny the city in the US State I live in (that sounds weird) uses the Russian pot hole fixes yearly then after 2-4 years (varies on urgency) they fix the whole road. Then again my city went to all concrete and stopped with black top.

They have to fix those potholes exactly because they paved the asphalt in the same way. Trust me, I live in Russia. They're paving our condominium area right now while it's raining and using a broom to get rid of puddles just like in the video.

you're kinda being stupid here - while all russian segments are minor road patches (cracks and holes in the road) which can be solved with a bit of asphalt and a good pounding (milady), all german segments are either complete road renewals or full-blown pavement of new highways, and even adding a tunnel segment for crying out loud.

Comparing germans doing major road constructions with russians repairing holes doesn't seem fair. Exept in minute 1:29 where the video actually shows russian paving an entire avenue in Moscow (I think) and it looks like any other german major road construction... So I don't get the point of the video.

Crazy how clean the Germans keep their machines!
It's much easier to keep things clean in some cities than others. In some cities, you just spray things a bit every now and then and things will look as new. In others, the water is corrosive or contains mineral deposits that'll make it impossible to keep the steel from rusting. In some cities, you can clean every month or so and you'll be fine and if it rains then you'll be glad since that removes the little dust that have built up, in others, if you leave anything just for a few days, it'll have a thick layer of dust, and the rain will deposit minerals that'll rust and make things really hard to clean, and it rains almost every other day too so keeping cars clean means washing it every day.
Some look as if they have just come from the maker. There might be parts of advertising material in here that we do not know from TV (Which private person will buy one?). Those promotional clips are produced for industrial fairs like the "Hannover Messe", the annual industrial showcase since the time when the -British were there after the war.

In Portugal is better, just to fix a sidewalk or a smal road it takes like 10 men, depending on the size, and in those 10 men 1 works while 5 just observe and conplain about the bad job the worker's doing, another two are in the truck smoking or eating and the last 2 are chatting about life with the patroling police officer. Ahhh I love it.

Repairing Is Different From Constructing
It's not an unbiased comparison, Russian part was filling potholes during and right after winter but the German part was majorly constructing new roads over the old ones and also during sunny weather like in summer!
Germany is technologically much advanced but the video is not that fair comparison.

Totally wrong comparisons. On the Russian side, it was mostly the patch work of filling up potholes here & there while most of German vids were of complete re-building of the road surfaces. I've seen the potholes filing up work in the US as well, sometimes they'd be throwing asphalt so casually it'd be all over the place instead of filling up the hole. I-75 & I-94 in Detroit area are perpetual construction zones pretty much all throughout the year.

Yep. Snow asphalting is the most funny thing, I guess. There was a big resonance among the public a few years ago. It was a stuped bureaucracy: a town musted to renovate some roads until the end of the year, but they weren't finishing it in time. But they musted (it was an order from "the above"). So, they desided to continue the renovates in winter. Of course, they fucked up.

I have to say that the best roads Ive ever driven on were in highways around bigger German cities
they are the smoothest in the world especially considering the winters they deal with.
In Canada we need to salt our roads but the public highways have a lot of damage. They repave them and within 3-5 years its full of holes again. Even in my home country Poland the German roads are a source of envy, when I used to go on weekend trips to Berlin part of the fun was letting the car max out on some sections of the autobahn

Where I live the HOA repairs the roads and the 5miles of highway to our ranch... the road repairs they do is asphalt in a pickup truck... they don't prep the pot hole or compress it after, they do 20 miles of road in about 3 days... the pot hole repairs last about a month before they fucked up. They only do it once a year too. All I can say is the mechanics in town get a lot of work replacing balljoints.

You can say it about almost every country on the Earth. And, I guess, you can say it about every -large- country. It's too hard to build a clean *everything* in a few years.
We should work on it together, not to say to each other 'you don't care, you do nothing'. This way is unconstructive.

I am living in Germany but i am from Russia and the roads and streets in Germany are are not so like this they are broken and with big holes the roads in Russia are much better
I like how you show Russia fixing pot holes that are probably in small cities, but you show Germany fixing whole streets in major cities.
