E-commerce is one of the best ways to get rich nowadays. With social media as the perfect partner, it's mostly about finding the right product people want and offering it in a smart way.
You pretty much have to have your personal brand and a stack of followers already. Then you can sell ice to the eskimos, as it were. If they like you, they’ll buy into whatever you’re selling. If you already have graphic design and marketing skills and understand demographics and how people *need* to be part of a trend, you’re already half way there. The average person who doesn’t get their “personality” all over TikTok and other platforms, won’t be anywhere near as successful as to sell $800k to $1mil in t-shirts a year!
Yep, I have come to the same conclusion myself. That's why for my project I am starting with trying to build an instagram/Tiktok following first....well, thats the plan. The Insta course I am following along with, the guy built a 40k following in 4 months...so here is hoping I can replicate that sort of success!
You can be bitter, or you can just open your eyes and realize there are KOL for hire. Ofc you would have to spend more but the guy does that himself so he saved some more money, that's all. Come to a business channel with a business mind, you're here without the right mindset I think. You should see more self-help video first, imho.
@@skyeriouspieceofmind6138 It’s merely my observation of many successful and unsuccessful people over the years. Those that built fan base/followers via personality and marketing skills = Get more $$$ales. No followers = Empty shop = No sales. It still requires a decent sized audience with eyes on via paid advertising/good marketing skills, the algorithms, social proof engagement and shares by existing or new followers with emotional buy-in on the trend, if you’re going to make the big bucks in one year as being spoken of in this video. I didn’t “come to a business channel”. It came to me via YT’s algorithms and I engaged, which is also how this content creator makes money. Not sure what triggered you to identify with my comment as being “bitter”. That sounds like projection imho. Perhaps it’s you who should first see more self-help videos to find out why 😉😊✌🏼
He is the only of maybe one of few got interviewed with realistic numbers, i feel like most entrepreneurs like to exagerate their numbers when they get interview, but this one is free flowin and i dont sense any of that. he only gets 30-40% of that mil
When showing the shirts quickly in between shots I feel like they disappear from the screen before I can read them completely. If you flash photos on screen please leave them a second or two longer…I had a hard time even rewinding the video and to stop the screen in time to read the shirts completely.
I know upflip is trying to target small entrepreneurs but your missing the people who want to see interviews with printful ceo. this 1 guy is bringing them millions in revenue. Printful gets half from all its sellers
So you didn't even have the product, nor the website or anything besides some mockups but hundreds of people out of nowhere just popped up and started to demand your non-existent product? Right....that happens all the time..

how much did all of those machines cost? how much does it cost to pay all those employees? how much goes into your business? how much is the overhead for a big ole warehouse like that?
Must be stacking tax write offs to only be making 100k a year on paper hahaha. Good for him. Seems like a great guy, and very smart cashing in on the goofiness of this generation.
Reproducing identical designs without permission is definitely a big issue. It's not just about copying someone's work; it's about respecting the creativity and effort that went into the original design.
I am trying to understand the access to Printful facilities as this was filmed. Its not his place but was appearing at first it was … although trying to figure out how he built that in 2 years was racking my brain. Love the channel but this one was confusing to me.
Ive been doing merch drop shipping for years, and produce my original designs through Illustrator, and although this story was very inspiring, I just don't understand with the current designs, how he was able to produce so many sales.
It's all about marketing and creating a brand. He is the brand. That Hak Tuah girl sold merch off of a 7 second viral clip. Today's times you have to create a personal brand. Designs are secondary.
How does he get such great margins? My "COST PRICE" for a cheap Gildan 5000 single side printed T-shirt with Printify is $40 CAD ($29 USD) including delivery. No custom tags or anything...just a single print on the front of the shirt. To make even just one dollar or so profit with all the fees and after taxes these basic quality t-shirts would have to sell for nearly $50 CAD/ $36.50USD each..To clear only a dollar or 2! ...Is PRINTFUL that much better than PRINTIFY? Maybe it's just the Canadian Printify partners making it near impossible to profit?
It's possible that printful and printify serves the US market better than other markets. I'm not from there and the costs are difficult to get good margins on
1. You need a lot of followers already. I mean alot. 2. These are followers that engage too. Not bots or you bought the traffic like a farm, which is waste of time and can get you later banned. 3. Other alternative is you pay for advertising to attract targeted traffic which is costly. 4. Or your setting yourself up to failure. You got to have numbers i.e. followers first. So build that first if you want this to succeed. 5. Make sure you own your list of followers. Maybe lead them to subscribe optin form. Lead them to your website cause if for some reason socioal media shadow bans you for whatever reason or you lose all your content, you will then lose all your followers and have to start again. Having built your email list means you don't start all over again.
