You should really do Happiness blBy the Kilowatt, it was originally by this band but the lead singer has a solo project called City & Color that puts a really emotional spin on the song.
This is my uni years. Alexisonfire and City and Colour. Dallas Green baby. Happiness by the Kilowatt is my favourite song by Alexis. Their live performance on house of strombo is all time.
Okay first of all, your facial expressions are the best 😂 Second of all, I really appreciate the piece by piece dissection of one of my favourites! Thanks Tom - another great video 👏
This singer has some of the best acoustic songs i have EVER heard...please do Dallas Green acoustics! Sam Malone, Day Old Hate, What makes a man...anything! Always the live versions, he is so damn good live
"sometimes love isn't about how much someone suits you sometimes it's about how much you're willing to change to suit them" it's not about one or the other, it's about a healthy balance of both, because you can't just change everything about yourself for them either, that's them being codependant on you. Sometimes what they want you to change about yourself is or rather the way in which they want you to change, or what they want that part to change into, can be for the worse, either for them, you, or both of you. It's all about conpromise, not just one person changing, but the BOTH of you changing, even just slightly, borh of you making adjustments for one another in each scenario at the same time. Of course there are exceptions like for example, if someone wants you to change the fact that you physically abuse them you shouldn't expect them to be more tolerant of your abuse while you just be slightly less violent or just don't hurt them in a certain way, you need to stop hurting them altogether and they shouldn't be tolerant of that kind of behaviour at all.
I can recomment City and Colour - Day old hate… it’s the accoutic band of the Singer Dallas Green. Would love to see a reaction video from you on that song
How did I miss this? Love Dallas Green (provided the melodic voice), and his early work in Alexis on Fire. Thanks for a great reaction. I think your interpretation was spot on Check out Dallas Green's solo project "City And Color" amazing songs: (You will not be disappointed) Weightless Meant to be Underground.
I would like to see your take on a Canadian band name BOYSNIGHTOUT there first ep and two albums are story driven with their sophomore album Trainwreck being a full therapy session
Unrelated to this artist but still great music, I highly recommend the English cover of the song Hitorinbo Envy by Jubyphonic (English cover) There’ll be lots for you to unpack there as a therapist :-)
Rough hands is a symbol of someone who's been through a lot because working with your hands a lot makes them rough. So metaphorically having "rough hands" means you've been through a lot and are worn out from it. The song isn't about a literal relationship. They're using a relationship as a symbol for needing to submit to a system and losing what you had. The album this song is from called Crisis that was very anti-establishment and that was for years the main theme of Alexisonfire. The theme of this song is being broken by the system of modern life. You were very close to nailing the message of the song.
Im Fine - Witchz Medusa - Valiant Hearts American Blood - Dead Poet Society Alone In A Room - Asking Alexandria Sans Soleil - Alexisonfire Wanderlust - Every time I Die Not sure where you source music but here are some good ones -

wished you said something about the bridge, "two people, too damaged, too much, too late" theres so much to pick apart there
LET'S GOOOOOOOO - excited for this one!
You should check out Alexisonfire Sharks and Danger or Thrones. Sharks even has the intro as calling in for a mental health episode!
You absolutely NEED to hear King Park by La Dispute. I would love to hear your thoughts on such a heavy topic as the one addressed in that song.
It’s about time he does some post hardcore. There’s a lot to explore out there.
Thank Danielle Ryan for this one😊😉
thanks dude!
