That sure is a beautiful hike, and of course Mills Lake is a favorite of mine! I will have to agree that now that it is pretty much summer hiking, and as much as I think the snow is beautiful.....I enjoy seeing the dry trails and seeing green and flowers once again. Every season is beautiful in the mountains! ❤️

I have to agree. Mills Lake is in my top 3 for sure. I'm on the countdown until I make it back out there. Only 47 days! Cabin reserved, timed entry tickets purchased, and gear list has started. Trying to decide what to hike. The top two on my list that I've never done are Hallett via Flattop, and Chasm Lake. Between the two, hopefully I can get my body to cooperate to do at least one of them on this trip! Keep the awesome videos coming brother!

"You cannot go wrong with Mills Lake" - Wholeheartedly agree. Have done hikes all over the park over the years but if someone said to me that they were going to visit RMNP for the first time and only had time for one hike I would recommend Mills Lake.

I have enjoyed hiking this area in the snow. But I usually bring my micro spikes.

What are your three favorite lakes or hikes in the Rocky Mountains? And would they be suitable for those who have not before?

My top 3 would probably be Mills Lake, Chasm Lake and Sky Pond.. other good ones are Emerald Lake, Mirror Lake and Bluebird Lake.
Mills and Emerald are pretty easy. Chasm and Sky are more intermediate and Mirror and Bluebird are hard.

⁠@@nicksangetta8874while I find the hike to sky, not bad, I can’t get past the waterfall section. It’s just too exposed for my taste.
