Wow! This quilt is so homey and funky cool. This is something a person would enjoy and value throughout his or her life. Well done. I also couldn't get over what long sessions you had. My bones ached watching you work.
Oooh!! Putting the pieces up where they go on a design wall is brilliant! I have done a few Liz Hartmann patterns, and that would make it so much easier!!
AMAZING! Anne and her baby are going to LOVE your BABY ROBOT QUILT gift! It is your cutest best quilt I have watched you make so far (in 2 days since I found your channel). You are such a Quilt Magician! I can't believe you were worried about making the two month deadline...My computer said you finished (including the pattern reading and your unique creative changes) in about 16 minutes! Holy, you have mad skills 🎉❤ and I just know your Grandpa is going to be so happy to be included, truly. I think you made King of Cousins today, not to mention King of Craft Rooms!!! You are the best, bet Anne names her baby after you ( and if not first name, then maybe second or third name...depending on how many other great relatives this little one has!) Sincerely Cheering for you with much Admiration and Gratitude, Anita
I feel the hardest part of a quilt is choosing the fabric designs/colours you like. Cutting all the correct size pieces. Laying them out in design helps. Sewing is next. Best part is when finished and we are proud of our achievement. Your robot fabrics are beautiful.
Oh MY!! What a fantastic quilt - anyone would love that and it's wonderful you used your grandfather's clothing to connect one generation to another. I absolutely enjoy watching your process and admire your sense of color and design.
Love this quilt. Using your grandfather's clothing makes it so special. I have been saving my late Dad's shirt for something special. He was a wonderful father and is missed so much. Not to be creepy, but his name is David and was nicknamed Dave.
I have been watching all your videos and just love your style and approach to making quilts. Makes me want to be more adventurous. But this robot quilt is my favorite! So cute and colorful and whimsical! 😀💖🌟
Your cousin is going to love this quilt! And the baby will treasure it as he grows. I especially like that you used your grandfather's clothing to make one of the robots. I enjoy watching you make quilts and look forward to your next video.
So cute 🤖💕👏, the idea to make a quilt for the baby, the robots, the colours, grandpas part in it and, yes, you too! Thanks for sharing the process, i enjoyed it. Greetings from Germany 🙋🏼♀️.
I love the I Spy feature with the fabrics on each robot. And your grandpa's fabric will have a texture as well. Came out absolutely fabulous. I've got a couple of Elizabeth Hartman patterns to make, hopefully soon. Thanks for sharing.
I love your Robot quilt ! I love the colors and materials and most importantly your creative touch. Once again, I am not disappointed every quilt you make is amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Dave, I came across your channel and I went through a few of your videos before I subscribed. This quilt turned out Beautifully ❣️ I love it. I just bought three of E. Hartman patterns to make at some point. I was thinking I looked just like you when I first took a look at her patterns pieces! 😬😳 Oh, no, can I make these!!! We shall see what the future brings. Anyway, you are so much fun and very inspiring. Take care from me, 👍 Chris L.
i made the mistake of making a t-shirt quilt for myawesome a few years back....he loves and adores it. and is asking for another one. WHYYYYYY!!?? but i think this would be a great way to celebrate some t-shirts in the tummies....my sanity would be restored and a fun finish in the end. thank you so much for sharing!! you have inspired a great compromise since i have the pattern and the willingness to make it. :D
Oh MY - seconds 12-44 is coming from my brain EVERY time. And this is such a fun quilt - love the robot centers and your grandad's clothes for some of the fabric:)
Not only is it a Custom by (cousin) Dave, it’s personal, which makes it adorable and precious! So excited for you to be getting in some baby-cuddles soon - they’re the best! Thank you for sharing this with us
Super cute. I love your fabric pulls. This pattern is coming up on my to do list very soon and I found the directions intimidating. You give me hope that I can do it too.
Love this, I've just done a Teddy bear quilt for my unborn grand nephew, almost wish I'd seen this first, added a bear then another, now its a bit bigger than a baby, mpre of an adult lap!... might make one for myself,...
So glad I stumbled across your channel. Your energy and style is very inspiring. Thanks for sharing your quilting process. The robots came out great. Love the grandpa-bot. :D
You’re such an inspiration of diving in although the pattern is intimidating and you’ve never done this. I’m scared of paper piecing although i admire the paper pieced quilts. You encourage me with your “let’s just do it”. Great robots by the way, the fabrics are super fun.
I made the tot bot- then got bored. You have inspired me to finish mine although yours is much more clever and colorful. I also realized that you are using the sewing machine that I’ve been eyeballing for two years now…
Beautiful quilt! Another great video! I have a technical/boring question for you: what is your ironing surface? Your setup seems really useful and I would like to do something similar in my craft room. (I'm hoping you will say it's just a blanket taped to the table because I could do that tonight without leaving the house, haha)
on the surface of the table is a board that I bought at Lowes, I'm not sure what the material is, it's something kind of between cardboard and wood and it's about 1/4 thick. on one side of the board is whiteboard surface and on the other side is chalkboard surface although I didn't care about that I just cared about it being the size and shape I needed; then on top of that is a wool army blanket doubled over👌👨🏻
She did in fact love the quilt ❤And cried a ton when she received it…. And baby uses it everyday ❤️ 🎉
yassssss Anne !! I'm so glad 😜👨🏻
I love that you used your late grandfather's clothing on this item. It makes it so much special as the quilt is for your newphew. :-)
It's just amazing. Love watching you making your wonderful quilts. Love that you used your Grandpa's fabrics in the quilt. Such a special gift.
Love that all the robots have their own little personalities based on fabric choices...great job!
You must make the large quilt. Baby’s grow and this will make a beautiful quilt for a grown boy….
That is a very very good idea, maybe I will! 😜👨🏻
I love your rendition of the robot quilt better than the pattern you took inspiration from……it’s far, far, far, more interesting. What a special gift!
That little boy is going to adore that quilt.
Hands down the best content on TH-cam! Bravo!
thank you !! 😜🤪👨🏻
Wow! This quilt is so homey and funky cool. This is something a person would enjoy and value throughout his or her life. Well done. I also couldn't get over what long sessions you had. My bones ached watching you work.
The noise was your grandpa coming to say hi and thanks! ❤
Oooh!! Putting the pieces up where they go on a design wall is brilliant! I have done a few Liz Hartmann patterns, and that would make it so much easier!!
What a lucky nephew! He will enjoy looking at it long after he uses it as a blanket, especially knowing that his great grandpa is there too.
Ab-so-lute-ly delightful robot quilt 🤖. Your creativity is always inspiring. Thanks for the video 😊

Are you a pianist? I noticed piano keys peeking through your hand quilting frame and you always choose cool Piano music for your videos. Just curious
Yes I've played piano from very young and that's indeed why I often choose piano music for my videos 😜👨🏻
Love this quilt!
Where is your lava lamp quilt video????
Thanks
it's on my channel :-) thank you
I made the tot bot- then got bored. You have inspired me to finish mine although yours is much more clever and colorful. I also realized that you are using the sewing machine that I’ve been eyeballing for two years now…
I can tell you... it's decent but I do have a lot of tension issues :-/
When you back with flannel do you also use batting? I love all your ideas and absolutely love the random ideas you have.
yes, I use batting
Благодарю ❤❤❤ супер
The light yellow 1 reminded me of Mr. Crab from SpongeBob. 😅😂😅
