So true, as always. 1. I didn't start gaining weight easily til my late 20's 2. When my quads got bigger, I started dropping deadlifts when my overhand would drag my thigh and start opening up.
I coach a 19 yo SHW (6’4 330lbs) with 33” thighs. The problems w/ quads getting in the way (and thicker fingers) are a real thing with the DL. So is working with the belly lol (Dave’s talked about how he would switch between sumo and conventional based on the size of his stomach).
I remember reading a DT article on t-nation about how he used to pour half a bottle of olive oil over a pizza, want to quit half way through, call himself a pussy and then carry on
1. he will NEVER beat Eddie Halls record, if you ever watched Eddies recount on it he admitted many times that he thought it was impossible. He has neurologists, blood specialist, and dozens of other specialized doctors doing massive calculations to even see if him pulling 500kgs was humanely possible and the numbers didnt match up. 2. its sumo, I know he even stated that people bitching about sumo vs conventional is a bullshit argument which he is right to an extent. But when it comes to world records it makes a BIG difference, simply stating, he wouldnt be able to pull it conventional but Eddie did.
EliteFTS stepping up their youtube game..these videos are amazing well done guys
Lot of respect for him putting up those numbers at a fairly light bodyweight

I'm surprised Dave didn't point out how he can easily gain weight if he stops trying to eat so clean

High testosterone levels makes you look older. I'm not implying he's using anything, I'm just assuming he's got naturally high T.

Plus eddie used a deadlift suit and straps. It doesnt make much sense comparing them. I think he could take Bennies raw record though.
Belkin was close to 500kg raw.. so..
Jamal browner will definitely break with time
