When you do the young birds start with 1 km,3, 5, 10,10,15,20,20,30,50,50 frequent short tosses is good. Working away take the birds with for a toss. Do short tosses also in afternoon up to 30km giving them only 3-4 hours before sunset to come home after you done the above tosses in the morning.
i like to start 5km + cant make it to easy on them 😅🤞
Get rid of them don’t waste your time on them you have more than enough birds to test this season. Remember it costs you as much to feed and care for rubbish birds as it does a winner.

No, the birds are getting minerals, and also learning. Once they learn with older birds, you do selection, at this point it is about training

@@ManeyPigeons We were in central England, now coastal Scotland. Technically the "same country" as it's within the UK, but it *is* different: culture, dialect, food, legislation... we love it. Being near the beach is a big plus, as is having a garden.

Maney your a genius! You just invented a different type of pigeon racing the one where they race on foot, those birds might be good for something after all.
Use an older bird with them, and be sure they are hungry. They will learn quick with old birds

It’s a first toss and it was a few birds
Toss them once-twice a week short distances
And then a medium toss after 2 weeks and then a fat toss after 4 weeks

Eventually after temperature settles down all pigeons ideally must be tossed. Stock breeding pairs please decide with all consideration & lock them up separately.
Please update on those other three birds. Intelligent birds have a free will. They might be long distance birds.

Lots of hunched up blues on the floor for that time of day, they aren't cold. Toss the lot and you will get the same percentage back i think. Not "naughty " there is something else wrong and it isn't the birds.

From my experience of pigeons. You wil struggle with birds that can't get through 6kms. Our young birds used to get home from 100kms.

Once their all back (if they all come back) I'd toss them maybe another two or three times then if it's still the same outcome I'd let them go. Don't want them spoiling everything you're trying to achieve.

If im honest maney ive watches your channel occasionally for 2 or 3 years, it really seems like you cant get the knack of racing as your birds often struggle on short tosses and races i think you need to speak tp some flyers near you as 6km toss should not be a fuss for them at all id say 5mins is a good go for that distance
