Turna didn’t put back the ryko with burial because of return in deck. Kampa asked dmg calc to try to bait a book of moon on alius to avoid honest. Excited to see some replays and watch you explore the format 🫡🫡
Future fusion also doesn’t start a chain in standby phase so he can’t oppression it
ahhhhh tbh i didnt know return was ran in this deck until we saw it (makes sense why its played tho haha) , the honest thing also makes a lot of sense. also i looked into oppressions rulings now so hopefully im a bit more knowledgeable about it next time lol ( appreciate the comment though helps me learn the format more
for your edison rulings - the special summon that oppression negates is an inherent special summon. vayu's effect to special summon armed wing makes it summoned by a card effect, not inherently special summoned. so the interaction is as follows:
i declare vayu in grave while oppression is on the field. oppression can't negate the blackwing synchro monster's special summon so the only thing you can negate is vayu. vayu is not once per turn and banishes at res, so if you negate vayu with oppression, vayu and mats stay in grave and you just wasted 800 lp. in other words, the ruling is basically: oppression can't stop vayu as you'll eventually run out of lp, and it can't stop the synchro hitting the field cuz it's not inherent special summon

Was just ppaying 4-5 decks on rated this morning to feel out where everyone else was at.
Edison format gives you the illusion of choice when there are actually 4-5 good decks in the format. HERO beat sounded good at first, but as the format progressed and became solved, it proved that it was simply good only on paper.
The best deck in Edison format is Vayu Turbo, it consistently takes 1st place whenever there are big events. The fact that the deck can cripple others with royal oppression and not be affected by it, gives the deck massive advantage.

Vayu is obviously a tier S deck but there are also other tier s decks like frogs and miracle fusion decks
Edison format is so cool I'm very happy that it finally got a ranked ladder so more people have a reason to grind it
Also with the Return>Judgment>Judgment into MST I dont recall what was going through my head at that moment but I wanted to use Turn Player Priority upon resolution of the chain to MST the set. He should've let me and then chained the Torrential to MST, and I would've just been down a card at that pivotal point in the game.
If I remember what I was trying to avoid there Ill definitely reply to this comment, but I think I just wasn't thinking at all in that moment. 😂
He probably was not aware that TT can be activated at CL2 or higher as long as the requirements were met.
@d7h7n I believe he was as he's a rather good Edison player apparently. But in that interaction turn player gets 1st action, so he could've had me just waste the card.
Hero wouldn't have lost to vayu game one if he didnt lose 600 for no reason and just forget to gain it lol

Oppression I'm sure is only on activation not resolution. Future fusion is resolving when summoning

When around 14:00 you said he could gemini spark the set ryko i wanna point out it is never the right play. The whole point of the deck is to chain gemini spark to go +0 instead of -1. There is no rush its first turn you can take damage for couple of turns to start going into card advantage. I agree that without shining and the Wind Hero fusion is a bit too bricky for a control deck but it's not that bad cmon ahah

Royal Oppression is useless vs Vayu because it banishes at resolution
It's negated, but Vayu and Sirocco are still in the grave and you can activate it again

Diva Hero Beat is pretty much the best deck in High Level Edison right now if we just look at the winrate. I do not like the Deck, but its not a noob trap.

Hard agree with the Herobeat take. The deck needs The Shining to actually get a decent grind game going, otherwise you just don't have good enough value in the deck and what value you do have is very conditional and bricky.

I do the same Honest bluff when playing BW or Fairies, works for Kalut as well.
I've done it before and let 2 attacks pass, then at a more pivotal point used the Honest/Kalut in hand to further my position. It also makes them think about Book of Moon/E-Con/etc and could just get them to waste a card.

Edit: Double checked and you banished it for allure, so I don't think you have a lethal line assuming your list is standard

@@TurnaHS I do think your opponent misplayed a bit leaving the stratos on field, with 2 unknown cards in your hand and 1 set I wouldn't feel comfortable at 1200 life. Gale/Bora, Vayu/Grephyr, any free special + caius, etc.
