Thank you for this. After looking for how to change the toilet paper roll on a freestanding holder, this video showed that the rod was the kind that has a spring inside, it was hidden by the cardboard tube.😅
Ended being the Allen wrench, the absolute smallest one too, a 2 to be exact. It was a bit tricky figuring that out but your video got me half way there. Thank you!
i have the exact holder. I need to know how to put it back on. The whole “black part” is off. Only the screws in the wall and the holders are loosely connected to the screw.
I agree. My house is newly built in a community with hundreds of other newly built houses and I have to think they used this design because it's a much quicker install. Uninstalling them? I guess that's our problem.
Mine got pulled out of the wall and the long ass screw that goes in the wall is stuck all out, but I don’t want to destroy the dry wall. It has those exact same holes but it won’t come out. And it’s my fucking girlfriends dads and I literally made it worse

I was losing my mind until I found your video. Thank you!

THANK YOU for sharing this! It took me 30 minutes or searching to find the same system I had. What a terrible design.

Thanks, was getting ready to rip it off the wall :)
😂
Thanks first time encounter with this type and I didn’t want to break it. Thank you for the headsup
@@shut_up_n_diie7895 You're welcome.
How do you tighten one up instead of removing it ?
Thanks! I unscrewed mine but it was still stuck to the metal/plastic piece. I will try this. Builders use such crappy products in normal homes.
Hope it all worked out for you.
How do you remove the rest of it?
Thank you so much!! This helped me remove mine easily!
You're welcome!
Great video bro, needed this
omg you saved my sanity. nice nose ring.

You saved me from going nuts. Thank you.

How would you get the black parts off the wall if you wanted to install a more decorative toilet paper holder? Are they just screwed on?
Yes, just unscrew them.

@@dpr4820 Of course.

You're welcome!
If it is already loose it is a nightmare to remove.
Any tips?! I’m in this boat!
@@megmc1210 I pulled it out of the wall and used a small Phillips screwdriver to separate the pieces.
That’s a weird design. Would be just easier to have the screws.

Helpful! But, gosh - not the best design.
Pretty simple he says
