There are actually several Khajiit monasteries, devoted to various forms of martial arts, like the Two-Moons Dance. This has always been boiled down to a bonus in Unarmed, though.
Jon, when you open a door into a load zone charge your invisibility spell but don't cast it. When you go through the load zone the game will detect that you are no longer charging the spell and will automatically cast it when you load in.
Fun fact you can get 2 blades of woe. If you have the misdirection perk you can pick pocket the blade of woe off of Astrid and then recieve a second later as a quest reward.
You dont have to become a werewolf for the first part of the companions, you can be a werewolf and a vampire at the same time, and unlike vampire with their weakness to fire and no stamina during the day, becoming a werewolf has no real downside
Killing Astrid in the cabin locks you out of the Dark Brotherhood questline, but it also let's you start a new quest called "Destroy the Dark Brotherhood!" if you talk to a guard at any hold and tell them about how you killed Astrid.
Aww, it's a pity Jon went to sleep right away. If you avoid sleeping for a bit you'll get a message delivered to you with a note that just says "We know" and has the black hand mark on it. It's pretty awesome.
I mean, can the quest even trigger without getting the note? I've always thought you had to wait. I once had a paladin character kill Grelod cause she was cruel, get the note, disregard it. Then after building my Hearthfire house, put he imperial heavy armour (improved ofc.) away and dress in a blacksmith apron. Then she slept. Was fun waking up without my weapons and armour, but also wanting to kill Astrid. Luckily she was a werewolf and still had the ring of Hircine. I then put on Astrid's armour and the Blade of Woe as I fled to Solitude incase she had allies watching as a backup.

Well, it's only really the best melee weapon. And even that because it's glitched. Windshears description says that power attacks will stagger all opponents, instead all attacks made by Windshear stagger all enemies leaving them permanently stunlocked. It's actually possible to meet Cicero near a farm around Whiterun before meeting him in the Dark Brotherhood. His wagon breaks down and he has the Nightmother in the back.
Make sure to talk to the various assassins once you pick up an Astrid quest (especially Festus). They usually have something amusing to say about your contract.
Yeah, it's always worth doing. I think he missed Gabriella when he was going around though, so might not know she exists. (The Dark Brotherhood is the one Guild I know the members off properly. I know the main 5 companions, and the main 4 Thieves, (Brynjolf, Vex, Delvin, Tonilla.) and maybe only Tolfdir for the mages.
The ancient shrouded variation you get later in the questline are even better. Also, just put the gloves on when doing the backstabby stuff wear the falmer stuff otherwise.
Jon, if you want to complete the Stones of Barenziah questline, you will most likely need to make use of glitches, as some stones do not always spawn, one glitch I know of makes use of the slow time shout, you use the slow time shout, and then mash the pick up button to take an item, and hopefully you can pick it up twice, this works with most items that do not come with animations when they are picked up
If you kill Grelod early, you just say to Aventus 'Grelod? As it turns out... I already killed her.' And Aventus says something along the lines of: 'I knew the Dark Brotherhood was good, but I didn't know they were that good!'
The innkeeper at Ivarstead is the one who wants Nardi dead as it is implied that he killed Narfi's sister and gets worried that someone will discover it and Narfi is the only one who cares about his sister missing.
Out of Whiterun on the Eastern road, you can run into Cicero with the Night Mother in a cart with a broken tire, and there is a quest to get the guy on the farm to help. Pretty nice dressing for a side quest.
wow jon first time you rent a room in skyrim and you just so happen to get kidnapped by the brotherhood. It's almost like you knew it would happen. LOL.
I think this is the best quest line in Skyrim. It’s my favourite anyway, no matter how many times I’ve played it. Watching Jon play it as DB virgin is awesome, he has so much to do and discover via the twists and turns ....
Welcome to the Dark Brotherhood - the only location with well characterized, helpful, and likable characters in all of Skyrim. They ask you to kill them for a crappy horse and entirely generic NPCs - It's tradition.
Fun fact; if you use clairvoyance on the three possible targets, it reveals that the khajit is the actual target. Also you completely missed the fact that Nazir and Three Dog have the same voice actors. And just a reminder that you can spare Cicero later and he becomes a really good companion
Actually, the clairvoyance spell will select one of the three captives at random the first time is cast. There isn't any real target. In fact, maybe none of them have a contract on their head. The only thing Astrid wants, is to see if the player has the stomach to kill someone on command, it doesn't matter who you kill.
Clairvoyance isn't random, it selects the nearest objective when multiple are available. Unless it was ever patched, it only picks the closest one from wherever you're standing the first time you cast it. There might be a specific script for this quest but I doubt it.
There's a theory that the Mercenary who calls himself Fultheim the Fearless has the contract. It states that he named himself after an inactive blades member(found at the inn where you eliminate the Gourmet) so that he could operate with more notoriety, and it posits the possibility that the thalmor put out the contract in order to further their hunt for blades members...

David Riley Cicero or whatever his name is , is a favourite of mine. He has that creepy insane persona. But Astrid I honestly like, only for the quests. My fav. quests are the Emperors‘Nice Visit.’and the marriage “counseling’ quest. What are yours?
If you do kill Astrid you get a much shorter but still cool quest line. From a RPG aspect it is awesome as it allows you to make real choices. Just wish I could do the same with other groups.
Amanda Rose I think that might be the only choice in the game that doesn't amount to "Which power-up do you want?" or "Do you want to ignore this quest and lose out on content?"...
The Dark Brotherhood door is there from the start of the game, but it won't give you the correct passphrase as a response option until you've been given the passphrase by Astrid.
If you restore the Thieves' Guild, you get an option to pay a lower bounty to guards and keep your stolen items. Normally you lose all stolen items on you at the time.
Jon, if you're looking for armor that's aesthetically pleasing with the Dark Brotherhood Gloves and Boots, try the Penitus Oculatus chestpiece and the Guildmaster's Hood. The color schemes all match perfectly, and you look like some kind of Imperial Assassin.
One thing I've always loved about the Dark Brotherhood is Arnbjorn. If you're already a werewolf by the time you join, when you talk to him, he'll mention it. He calls you "Moon brother". I wish there were more instances where Vampires and werewolves would talk to you friendlier if you share their condition
@42:30 - As to who wants Narfi dead, there are two candidates.... Klimmek spends most of his day staring at Narfi across the river. What a weird thing to do. Wilhelm tries to send you off on a wild goose chase to Geirmund's Hall (where the unwary would almost certainly be killed) when you're looking for Reyda, who you find at the bottom of the river with arrows floating over her corpse...
Fun fact. If you kill Grelod before visiting the boy, you still join the Brotherhood. You do miss out on that sweet sweet hierloom you are going to sell to the first merchant though.
There are ways to regain stamina during the day. Any fortify stamina regen item will give you some and there's a perk to let restoration spells heal that in addition to health.
There's actually some hints in the town that suggest he is a werewolf and killed his parents and sister. Also that the Barkeeper knows about it so it may have been him.
My first playthrough I bumped into Cicero outside a farm carrying his "mother" with a broken wagon wheel. If you fix his cart and send him along he remembers and offers some unique dialogue when you join the DB. I always liked Cicero but found the voices for most of the other assassins annoying. I only liked the Argonian.

Look into the "Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls" you can learn the enchantment, and it's really quite useful.
Actually, the Dark Brotherhood robe set in that first room has different enchantments on the hood and robes, as it is a Mage's set.

Jon, if you're looking for armor that's aesthetically pleasing with the Dark Brotherhood Gloves and Boots, try the Penitus Oculatus chestpiece and the Guildmaster's Hood. The color schemes all match perfectly, and you look like some kind of Imperial Assassin.

One thing I've always loved about the Dark Brotherhood is Arnbjorn. If you're already a werewolf by the time you join, when you talk to him, he'll mention it. He calls you "Moon brother". I wish there were more instances where Vampires and werewolves would talk to you friendlier if you share their condition

If you kill Grelod before visiting the boy, you still join the Brotherhood. You do miss out on that sweet sweet hierloom you are going to sell to the first merchant though.
There are ways to regain stamina during the day. Any fortify stamina regen item will give you some and there's a perk to let restoration spells heal that in addition to health.

There's actually some hints in the town that suggest he is a werewolf and killed his parents and sister. Also that the Barkeeper knows about it so it may have been him.
My first playthrough I bumped into Cicero outside a farm carrying his "mother" with a broken wagon wheel. If you fix his cart and send him along he remembers and offers some unique dialogue when you join the DB. I always liked Cicero but found the voices for most of the other assassins annoying. I only liked the Argonian.
