Jon the problem between Cicero and Astrid is that Cicero wants the listener to be the leader, while Astrid intends to stay in power. In short, Astrid perceives you as a threat because of both the nightmother’s return and you being the listener.
Does Shadowmere takes contracts? Animal contracts? Like, there is this rabbit that wants revenge on a bear near Markarth, Shadowmere goes there, kick in the eye, bear is dead.
Since Jon is now an assassin, he should have some kind of calling card. Maybe he could leave a specific plant or maybe something like a bucket left next to the victim
For what it's worth, yes Cicero can be grating but I think he's a genuine asset to the Dark Brotherhood and his backstory's pretty interesting. I say let him live, but you do you.

The pirate assassination was a nice throwback, as Oblivion sends the player to do a similar pirate assassination early on in its Dark Brotherhood questline
I had a mod installed that provided companions with a horse and didn't know about a nice side feature it provided. When I started the Dawnguard DLC I already had Shadowmere and loved that horse. Arvok though was the horse Serana conjured when I did mount Shadowmere - right from the start. There couldn't be a better fit.
*Shadowmere* Lv-50 Health-1637 Stamina-198 Attack-10 Has high regen rate, unlikely to be killed by anything except falling off cliffs or the player, if does die it will respawn in 10 days. *Arvak* Lv-4 Health-289 Stamina-106 Attack-10 If dies can be summoned immediately with spell, if player has the twin souls perk, two Arvaks can be summoned. My votes for Arvak.
Just so you know this is a religious thing in the dark brotherhood. The heretic astrid doesn't believe in the night mother and just wants to be in power over "her" assassins guild. Cicero is a member of the old guard and so believes in the 5 tenets and loves the night mother. I played oblivion and so I had a good understanding of the old ways. When astrid sent me to spy on Cicero I actually immediately after tried to assassinate her for her heresy.
"What Emperor wouldn't immediately replace that guy!?" An Emperor who completely destroys the entire army of his enemies.....then basically surrenders to them.
The war ended with the Battle of the Red Ring, where the entire Aldmeri military force (which was capable of leaving their territory, at any rate) was obliterated, leaving the Empire in control of the field. This battle was so catastrophic to the Aldmeri that they couldn't even hold on to an already devastated Hammerfell after the war despite it declaring independence and having no Imperial assistance whatsoever. For all the damage done to the Empire after the final battle, the plain and simple fact of the matter was that the Empire still had an army left standing, and the Aldmeri didn't. To then sign a savagely one-sided peace treaty that gives up basically all the concessions the Aldmeri asked for before starting the war is an act so ludicrous that the only in-universe explanation is that the Emperor is incompetent beyond all possible reason. Anyone who wasn't an utter fucking dumbass would take a resumption of the pre-War status quo in the immediate aftermath of the battle as the only reasonable deal, and if the Aldmeri refused it, dig in and force them to bring up more forces to show they still have the strength to enforce a lopsided peace deal. Ultimately the Aldmeri DIDN'T have any such strength, and would have been forced to accept white peace as a fait accompli because they can't do shit about it. Instead, Emperor Fuckwit completely obliterated the entire enemy force and celebrated by giving them ALMOST everything they wanted instead of EVERYTHING they wanted.
An emperor who can see through the utterly transparent, "Hey, someone mysteriously assassinated a trusted agent and coincidentally, he happened to be carrying an incriminating note that kind-of looks like it could be his handwriting." So, any emperor with an I.Q. over 75.
I’ve already seen Tourist Trap! It has Chuck Connors in it as a guy who makes wax figures out of his murder victims. Which is saint-like compared to Skyrim Jon.

Leonardo Cacciato Let’s be honest, he needs to know, Jon acts like he’s paying attention in dialogue and the like but he’s so easily distracted and gets fixed in the idea of how he thinks things will go down and acts on them immediately often to his own detriment, such as with Sinding the werewolf.
I thought all horses did what Shadowmere was doing, so long as you didn't steal them. I can't tell you how many times I'll be minding my own business, when my horse Randomly decided he want to get involved, even though I left him on the other side of Skyrim.
Shadowmere is no faster than other horses, but heals inanely fast and has much more stamina, letting him sprint much farther, so he can cover large distances faster.
I never realised before, but the first assassin contract in Oblivion is to infiltrate a pirate ship and kill the captain, and the last in Skyrim makes you do the same thing. I like the callbacks Bethesda do with missions like that, it's similar to the Fighters Guild quests in Morrowind and Oblivion, that make you go after rats.
Jon. We can't see shit in dark interior areas. Just get a mod that lightens up interiors. It would make your job so much easier and our watching experience so much better.

It's his stamina actually. He runs the same speed as other horses, he just has double if not triple the stamina so he can run for much longer periods before needing to slow down.

Jon, the stormcloaks are only at war with the empire of SKYRIM. You are killing the Emperor of Tamriel. The Emperor of Tamriel still has dominion over Skyrim as well as Windhelm so I don’t think Ulfric has a problem with the guard of the Emperor coming in and inspecting the city’s security, and even if he did he wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.

The Empire, Aldmeri Dominion, and I believe Hammerfell is independent. Skyrim is part of the Empire, it's not it's own "Empire of Skyrim". So, yes, Ulfric shouldn't let the guard in just like how you wouldn't find any imperials in the city. Thinking about it, I imagine he only goes there in case the player has finished the civil war & sides with imperials. Then it'd be an imperial city & make sense..

Go to Olava the Feeble with the orb to get an amazing prize. This is not a quest so it has no quest marker and most people never do it.

horses do have stats, summoned horse has worse stats of any horse in the game and shadowmare has best in the game, like so MATN can see.

Shadowmere is absolutely the fastest hourse in the game. The speed difference is in the sprinting, though, not the normal running.
It's his stamina actually. He runs the same speed as other horses, he just has double if not triple the stamina so he can run for much longer periods before needing to slow down.
I think Shadowmere's supposed to be a kelpie, what with all the "bubbling inside a small puddle" thing.
I don't think Jon knows how to make horses actually use their stamina in this game.
