I think Crack is my favourite, but I have a strong time travel bias. Rift is my second favourite, because I love alternate dimensions and it was fun as hell getting to see the same place in two versions so fast and easily. I really love the continuity and storytelling of these games.
It's crazy and kind of upsetting that my introduction to the series which came out when I was 6 years old won't have a concluded story line until I'm 28. I absolutely love the series and I'm praying we get to see another R&C title before then

What I want for the next Ratchet game, if they are still going to have Rivet as a playable character that they make her more unique, having her on set of skills and attacks different from Ratchet, and specially making that she feels like another character and not just the female Ratchet

I enjoy the core gameplay so I wouldn’t want to stray too far from that. The worst mistake some platformer games make is giving us secondary characters to use that are not as fun to play as the original hero.
Some things I wanna see in the next game is the return of Talwyn apogee, the characters finally finding and going to the lombax dimension, and space travel/Moon exploration from ACIT. Speaking of ACIT, it’s still one of my favorite games of all time and the very first RAC game I ever played. ❤

It's mostly they discuss what's the best thing we but and what's not, so we shall see when it comes closer For me personally, I really like to see a new main villain/antagonist we never seen before (whether a male or female), but the next villain can be a formidable and threatning to Ratchet and his allies, like an unknown specie alien race they never encounter or even heard of, since it's going to lead to finding the Lombaxes, I'm pretty confident the next villain is a multiversal-type villain, and when I say as a formidable villain, I mean like something like Sephiroth (FFVII) or Doom from Marvel That's all I can say and thanks for the video @TheGamersJoint ^^

TLDR: It’s R&C Ps4 is a new game, just not an original one. I would still count Ratchet PS4. Yes it’s a reimagining story wise & it shares some levels. Most of the whole game had to be made from scratch since they lost their original files/data/etc from the first game. If it wasn’t for idol minds (the people who remastered the PS3 games) they would have had a lot more trouble in development. Them already having enough as is.

I mean it'd be nice if there was a new main villain, but I don't mind him showing up. I actually think the continuity between the games is one of the best parts of the franchise - nothing feels forgotten or left behind. Given how Rift Apart ended, it does seem like it'd make sense to take a break from Nefarious/the main universe, though.
There are a lot of things from the old games that they should bring back. Like gigantic Clank, the space battles, a much wider range of weapons (in rift apart there was maybe half of what it used to be in R&C 2 or 3 for instance) or the humour. I also would like they don't do again the thing to keep switch between Ratchet and Rivet. Bring Rivet too of course, but let me choose between her and Ratchet at the beginning of the story and keep my choice for the whole game. Then, I will start again with the other character once I have finished the first run. Or even better, they could put a co-op mode to use both of them at the same time, like in Ratchet gladiator
A Crack in Time was seriously cracked 🤤🤩. No lie, as it came out in 2007, I'd say it could be considered PS3's Mario Galaxy of the time. It's method of space exploration is what I wanted KH3's Gummi Ship to borrow from the most. If the next R&C game is expanding on CiT mechanics, then we're feasting 😤🤤. Immaculate tiny planetoid exploration is calling me 🖐🏿😭.
I have had a lot of ideas for what could happen in the next Ratchet & Clank game and this info makes me happy as I think with some tweaking some of my said ideas could become a reality. While I'd be okay with Insomniac Games changing some things, I hope they still keep the ideas that you went over in the video like the Lombaxes trying to get back home/homes and having evil Lombaxes, both those that are main/secondary characters like that female one you described, and those that are standard enemies. Also by ship, are you talking about Aphelion? Could the heroes be using a big ship that can store Aphelion?
My theories is that A: The opening scene for the next game is gonna show a baby lombax which looks like ratchet, this could be taken two ways, we’re getting ratchets backstory ANIMATED or, it’ll zoom out to show rivet and ratchet, meaning they Yk…rivchet is cannon. B: Ratchet is going to find where the other Lombaxes are hiding and we’ll get more juicy lore
What I really want is more enemy variety. It gets a bit stale when they have a set few enemy types and factions that get repeated throughout the game. We're visiting alien worlds, I'd love to see a wider range of wacky characters.

I can't wait for the next game.......I have an idea that would be awesome......let's say this was the last Ratchet game what they should do as a DLC is a rogue like DLC and after you get so far you end up fighting against a boss or mini boss from each game like the bloody palace from Devil May Cry but add some story to it like in God Of War Ragnarök's DLC I know this probably would never happen but I awesome concept

So my thoughts on this video information. One I assume you intentionally left out Angela cross, correct? Secondly, these dark matter beasts kind of feel like something of a similar villain from all for one. And lastly, at least at this point. If they brought back aphelion. And all of the gameplay that accompanied it from a crack in time, they would have me most certainly sold in a heartbeat. If they haven’t done so already. Honestly, I’ve loved the ratchet and clank series with a few little tidbits that always irked me a little bit. But nonetheless, the weapons, the gadgets, the story, and even the characters outside of a select view have always pretty much sold the game for me.
If we get a new game with both Ratchet and Rivet again, I want a separate weapons for them. I didn’t care for the fact that they shared weapons. Also give us the option at the end of the game to play as either character instead of making levels specific to the character
Simply a modern Ratchet and Clank that somehow combines parts 2 and 3 + coop mode and PRG multiplayer. As well as possibilities like in other games PLANETS and skins as well as weapons from other players to load and use them. Similar to racing tracks in Forza or something.
gonna be honest what i miss most are the soundtracks from david bergaud, boldan, barlow, snivelak, tabora, dobbo, zygan system, koros, tyhrranosis, gemlik base, ratchet on orxon, i can go on and on with all the best planet soundtracks from the original trilogy, but that’s what i miss most honestly the ps4 one was trash way too cinematic and just didn’t have a good soundtrack or capture any og feels, don’t get me wrong as someone who grew up on the trilogy on ps2 i know it’s unfair to compare the nostalgia to the new stuff but its hard cuz that’s what i miss most the cool armor and banging soundtracks but i get it, they gotta steer the game in new directions
The entire story arc of ratchet and clank from 2007 to now, is literally just a copy of Doctor Who from 2005 to 2013 EDIT Also Angela is the first other Lombax we see in the franchise, why not mention her?
We need to move beyond the melodramatic tone of the future trilogy, please return to the satirical tone of the PS2 games. Ratchet and Clank is more about humor and gunplay.
THANK YOU!! YES. This is something I've been thinking about for a while. Ratchet imo has become to 'goody goody let's help cleanse the world of evil' and has lost his punky, edgy, tongue in cheek comedic side that made the OG games so entertaining and gave him substance. I appreciate that some people feel differently about this and see it as his character maturing but he could still have and has had previously a more invigorated personality. I also miss when characters weren't constantly jabbering over the quite frankly brilliant soundtrack. Not every moment of silence has to be packed with voice overs. People should be allowed to take in the atmosphere and use their imagination a bit. It's kind of patronising to the player that everything now seems to be a visual aid of some kind.

I don't want Ratchet and Clank to be a generational series. Assassin's creed was ruined when it became a yearly series, insomniac to screw up another franchise but in the opposite way Assassin's creed got screwed up
It's normal man. These classic retro early 2000s platformers don't make even half as much money for Insomniac as the Marvel games do. At least they still love the franchise and are willing to make them for us and seriously it's a blessing, you know some other platformer franchises have been buried but R&C are still here.

Secondly, these dark matter beasts kind of feel like something of a similar villain from all for one.
And lastly, at least at this point. If they brought back aphelion. And all of the gameplay that accompanied it from a crack in time, they would have me most certainly sold in a heartbeat. If they haven’t done so already.
Honestly, I’ve loved the ratchet and clank series with a few little tidbits that always irked me a little bit. But nonetheless, the weapons, the gadgets, the story, and even the characters outside of a select view have always pretty much sold the game for me.

If we get a new game with both Ratchet and Rivet again, I want a separate weapons for them. I didn’t care for the fact that they shared weapons. Also give us the option at the end of the game to play as either character instead of making levels specific to the character
Simply a modern Ratchet and Clank that somehow
combines parts 2 and 3 + coop mode and PRG multiplayer.
As well as possibilities like in other games PLANETS and skins as well as weapons
from other players to load and use them. Similar to racing tracks in Forza or something.
I really hope this next game comes out on PS5 and if it does come out by the ps6, then I hope it’s on both

gonna be honest what i miss most are the soundtracks from david bergaud, boldan, barlow, snivelak, tabora, dobbo, zygan system, koros, tyhrranosis, gemlik base, ratchet on orxon, i can go on and on with all the best planet soundtracks from the original trilogy, but that’s what i miss most honestly the ps4 one was trash way too cinematic and just didn’t have a good soundtrack or capture any og feels, don’t get me wrong as someone who grew up on the trilogy on ps2 i know it’s unfair to compare the nostalgia to the new stuff but its hard cuz that’s what i miss most the cool armor and banging soundtracks but i get it, they gotta steer the game in new directions

The entire story arc of ratchet and clank from 2007 to now, is literally just a copy of Doctor Who from 2005 to 2013 EDIT Also Angela is the first other Lombax we see in the franchise, why not mention her?

We need to move beyond the melodramatic tone of the future trilogy, please return to the satirical tone of the PS2 games. Ratchet and Clank is more about humor and gunplay.
THANK YOU!! YES. This is something I've been thinking about for a while. Ratchet imo has become to 'goody goody let's help cleanse the world of evil' and has lost his punky, edgy, tongue in cheek comedic side that made the OG games so entertaining and gave him substance. I appreciate that some people feel differently about this and see it as his character maturing but he could still have and has had previously a more invigorated personality. I also miss when characters weren't constantly jabbering over the quite frankly brilliant soundtrack. Not every moment of silence has to be packed with voice overs. People should be allowed to take in the atmosphere and use their imagination a bit. It's kind of patronising to the player that everything now seems to be a visual aid of some kind.

I don't want Ratchet and Clank to be a generational series. Assassin's creed was ruined when it became a yearly series, insomniac to screw up another franchise but in the opposite way Assassin's creed got screwed up
It's normal man. These classic retro early 2000s platformers don't make even half as much money for Insomniac as the Marvel games do. At least they still love the franchise and are willing to make them for us and seriously it's a blessing, you know some other platformer franchises have been buried but R&C are still here.

Ain't no way it's gonna be on PS6. R&C is too good for one per $600+ console. And it's still one of only three PS5 games I even own. And one of those was a free upgrade from a PS4 version.

And instead insomnia the studio that ratchet and clank wasted 22 years on a The CGI effects and high resolution rachet and clank wasted 20 years on one game. When they should have started working on games like jax and dexter instead.

I'm a little surprised they were already planning the next Ratchet and Clank title considering Rift Apart didn't sell so well. I'm used to game devs getting laid off/relocated to other projects these days
ratchet and clank is going to be once for generation becouse they want to showcasing console c: but i think this killed franchise becouse even the rift apart is like 6/7 hours in lenght to complete even with sidequest okay graphics is great but this franchise was not about graphics but about story fun and weapons c: in rift apart are only few fun and good weapons armor collecting is useless u complete the set after sequence where is really needed c: u play more as a rivet than ratchet c: i can say im a fucking big fan of ratchet and clank my frist was locked and loaded back when i was kid but sony and insomniac jus destroyng thing even naughty dog canceled Jak series and the good game is full of lgbtq and gayish things and black characters even when it is nonsense... games are not for people anymore they making games for reviewers like IGN,METACRITIC etc. NOT FOR PEOPLE ANYMORE c:
