Nice comparison, but I think running in 3s is not worth the risk of smoking your ESC for just 10 km/h more on top speed.... you can achieve the same speed increase by just using a 540 brushed motor same as I did on my 124019.... im looking forward to your speed runs with brushless system 👍
???? You cannot get the same speed as this with a brushed 540 😂. And you can get fans that easily attach to the esc and motor for like $3 each. I've done it to an X07 and it isn't even hot after a full 3S 2200 battery.
@@RcModwerks23 I must've commented before actually watching the video, but I actualy have no idea why this guy gets such God awful top speeds in this car when everyone else gets over 100km/hr. So like I said, you're not getting those speeds from a brushed motor vs a brushless motor unless this video is a brushed version of this car
@@CornPopWazABadDude He was running the stock Brushed version, that is why I also compared with my Brushed setup which was 64 km/h on 2s . I think nobody has ever gone over 100 km/h with a 144001 stock Brushed motor . Maybe you were referring to others who upgraded to brushless ... and my best run in Brushless with 3s lipo was 159 km/h and 176 km/h on 4s lipo

@@lightspeed_rc7846 those stock motors will not last long on 3s... i killed a new motor in 10 mins using a 40c 1300 3s... they get to hot and short out inside...i fried 3 esc's with that one motor since the other 2 esc burned up as soon as i turn on switch... crazy...i never had an issue like this before...caught me off guard because the motor seems fine...but its not..
It’s 50% more voltage btw. And power is proportional to voltage squared so a 3S at storage charge (11.1V) will give 76% more power than a 2S at full charge (8.4V). Then velocity is proportional to the square root of 2x the energy. So the car will go 33% faster given the 76% more power assuming same drag. There’s more drag at higher speeds so let’s say it’ll only go 28% faster. So if he went 31mph on fully charged 2S, he should do 39.7mph on storage charge 3S- and he did: 39.6mph I redid the calculation for fully charged 3S and it’s about 43mph.
