Thanks for this very clear explanation. I've recently had a scan which we thought was going to confirm a diagnosis of a meniscus tear but instead discovered a small tear above the knee and needling was suggested as a course of action. I know I've given limited info, but are there any alternatives to this treatment you could think of?
Hi, It's always good to speak to your consultant / physio about the treatment they have suggested as they will have provided their suggestions based on your full history. But I'm sure if you asked them for alternatives to Dry Needling, they will be able to suggest something, as there are other alternatives out there, depending on what the condition is such as rectus femoris strain or patella tendon strain?
This depends on the condition and how long the client has had the condition. But you could Dry Needle about twice a week if they would benefit from two wider treatments per week, in the early stages.
It may help if pain and stiffness is also being experienced around the tendon area, but as this condition is related to the cartilage under the patella, it’s not going to have a direct effect on the condition. But combine it with treatment to the quadriceps region too.
Extremely informative and straight to the point!! Thank you!
Glad the video is helpful and thanks for the feedback 👍

Can you please tell how many sessions required and interval between sessions , thank you

Can we treat chondromalacia patella by using this technique

You're welcome 🙂
Can we this technique in grasshopper ( patella alta)
yes but I would also recommend treating the rectus femoris too along with the tendon 👍🏼
Is this good for osgood schlatter?
If Osgood Scatters is active then avoid needing around the tibial tuberosity and focus more on the rectus femoris 👍
