Do you think it's also because they didn't charge enough, if they paid retail prices for the parts there wouldn't be much left on the bone. Of course they didn't pay retail but maybe still not enough. And yes I have been working hard trying to get the boat right. I just recently painted the sponsons so now it'll run right 😅. Even though you said that your giving me the trophy boat I'm not going to give up on the boat and you'll be getting a video very soon. And a much appreciated thank you.
That reminds me of the story of the Squier 51 guitar. They came out in late 2004 and they were very low priced. They received little attention because they were such a "budget" guitar. A few years later, they went out of production and at about the same time musicians realized these were really great guitars; modders learned that made great modification platforms. Originally selling as low as $69.95 at Guitar Center, you are now hard-pressed to find a stock one for less than $300. Fender made re-issues, but the OG will always be the OG.
The squire bass is actually quite popular and many bassist play them on stage. mainly so they don't mess up their good one. They don't record with them. ...
Glad I got mine ,I need to work out where to get e new prp shaft though, mine sheared at the very front end where the recess is cut out for the first allen grub screw.

@Dr_Jet Now that's a cool bit of history.. & just goes to show the old business saying of "supply and demand." 💯 Thanks, Doc!
