This anime is so good. It's relaxing, cute, wholesome and the characters are lovable. Definitely my favorite anime this season, sadly it's way too underrated
sadly or luckily depending of how you see it there's so many big names coming out this season, there's a lot of series that are gonna be under everyone's radar

I am personally obsessed with Slice of Life anime and content also but like you mentioned, can be difficult to do it properly considering you need to make it fun and creative or it’s going be extremely flat without coherent storyline or even action to an extent, I am definitely enjoying this so far!!! 😁🫶
The thing about this anime is that as long as you remotely do any DIY stuff, you can relate to it. But at the same time, the anime goes further beyond.

i forgot what i was gonna comment originally but i wanna say. the moms on this show are so beautiful so far! first serufu's and now joboko's they're all so pretty!
The gold standard is to slowly move the drill in while grabbing what you are screwing on half trigger setting and yes we have that. And yeah I’ve done a lot of repair jobs on my own stuff plus lots of work around the house. The US is like find a solution at a home improvement store and do it your self the hard way. A drill also doesn’t go that fast to gouge wood out like it’s more like a tiny ding really odd.
Maybe it's supposed to be a softer wood or it was just drawn a bit more dramaticly to get the point across anyway the scene was to show her current skills rather than show proper drilling technique

I can see a student that lacks dexterity and muscle memory taking a real interest in something yet totally struggling with the simplest task.
Sometimes you need speed to overcome the friction of the wood on the screw, especially with low-end battery-powered drills. Although with parts clamped like that they would be able to drill a pilot hole to make it easy, especially good to do with hard woods or low-end studs. I build giant robots out of wood, pvc and metal :)
Crunchyroll back at it again with getting me intrigued with another lighthearted (I assume) series. With this being my first exposure to this anime, Serufu seems like a ball of danger to everyone, especially to herself, and is absolutely adorable.
The art style (or ar least, the way the characters are drawn) reminds me of the art style of the main man behind One Piece movie 6. I don't remember his name, but the simplicity of how he draws his characters is so charming.
You talking about the animation supervisor? It was the director Mamuro Hosada Though he did direct. The animation directors and character designers was a trio of Chikasa Kubota, Sushio and Takaaki Yamashita
Though to me the style gives me some more loose lucky star drawings. The designs are really animation friendly that I'm honestly suprised it's not got a lot of movement. Though I suppose that could be due to a lack of time. Either way it is rather charming

This anime is cute. Too cute...not that I don't like it cuz I love how super cute the animation and characters. But after I watch Higurashi When they cry, I feel like I gotta be on guard when I'm watching slice of life anime cuz all of that cuteness and silliness can turn into a bloodshed if the creator decided to.
