  • Trying out that new Wash and Finish from Koch Chemie. It’s a waterless wash that has lots of gloss and some protection. And using the Quick and Shine from Koch Chemie for that last step protection to gain that extra pop in the paint.

    Koch Chemie has really hit the market strong here in the USA. I think they dealt a knock out punch to a lot of other manufacturers here in the USA. A lot of detailers and enthusiasts alike are switching to using Koch Chemie products more and more now. I have a few of them. I love Pol Star as an interior cleaner. Also EULEX is one of the best Tar removers (and best values also). Koch definitely came into the USA market to SUCCEED. And they've done pretty good so far. I want to try some more of their products as I use up some of the products I have now. OH, and CONGRATS TO YOU SIR at hitting 3K subs! As good as your channel is, I am surprised it's not 30K+! Getting their slowly but surely.

      So far, I’m super impressed with the Koch Chemie I’ve tried. I have a few more coming soon.

    Thanks for your review. Qs is a brilliant product. No streaking, effective and you can use it on every car surface. I also use it in the interior plastics and as a topper to the Koch Chemie So01 wax. The price is great as well as is with most Koch Chemie products.

    A good drying towel will have twisted terry loops that absorb the water instead of pushing it around. Try the Griot’s Garage PFM Drying Towel. The only thing is if you use a rinseless wash with SiO2 in it you need to soak the drying towels in a bucket with some APC or Rags to Riches detergent. This will reduce the buildup of hydrophobic SiO2 in the towel and help maintain its absorbency.

    I'm really really starting to like their products. So far, the only product of theirs that I've seen that was a letdown was their "Magic Wheel Cleaner" (shocking and I couldn't believe it), there was no Magic in that at all; more of a earth friendly doesn't really work kind of soap. I hope they pull it until they fix that one. Loved their SO.02 spray sealant (less is more). Great demo. Thanks.

    Thank God that i now have that KC Green Star to clean the wheel arches. All the salt and mud become when rinsed easily removed. If you like good smell the KC GSF is also worth a try. It smells like cherries. There are better snow foams but i would buy it again just for the smell. I want to try that Bilt Hamber Auto Foam also. Hear only good things about.

    I find if i use a lower nap towel 2nd to buff helps with the residue. I personally dont care for the fluffier towels. I will use with a waterless because i feel its safer but as mentioned finish with a shorter nap towel. Obviously the panel is clean as this point.
    Edit: this used to especially be the case with optimums opti clean WW. Havnt tried W&F Yet. Current go to is my good old Mckees RW diluted to a WW… or Adams Cs3.

    • @DetailingBreakdown
      @DetailingBreakdown  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, short nap definitely helps with residue. It’s fine either way. I just like long nap for the initial cleaning to get dirt stuck deep into the fibers. I feel if it’s deep it won’t scratch because it’s not close to the outer edge.

    residue it leaves behind is the protection so it's a 2 towel product 1. high nap towel to safely remove the dirt (wash part) 2. low nap towel to buff the clean panel to perfection (shine part)
    thats why it's wash and shine looks like they named it right and it looks like it is a solid product i will definitely get a gallon of it to keep a bottle of it in my cars for bird bombs waterless wash is a superior product for that task and let me tell you those fucking birds always choose the maintained shiny cars to shit on to bomb 😂
