Sorry you are not doing too well. You have done great pushing through all this time. I’m 2y5m and probably going through the worst flare I’ve had which started 14 months ago. Just no let up so sitting here with bandages on the arms and really struggling with it all over my face. Also sensitive to just about every food I eat. I’m getting to the point where I’m thinking maybe immuno suppressors may help me, maybe I can’t keep going like this. I don’t know right now but continue to try heal
I've been going through TSW for 3 1/2 years, it will be 4 years in April. My wrists are exactly like yours, the skin gets really thick and every day they flake. I use vaseline on my hands and wrists every night and it seems to help. M y lower legs have been the worst because that's where I used the steroid cream, for 3 years they were a mess, bright red, and oozing. During the past few months they've been showing a slow, gradual improvement and they are looking a lot better, they still ooze sometimes though. I too was hoping that I'd be completely cured by the 4 year mark but April is getting pretty close and I doubt if it will be completely healed by then. Sometimes it take s a little bit longer , the healing from this is a slow process. I listened to an interview from a surgeon who went through TSW herself, she must have done research on it because she said that if older people use steroid cream it can cause heart problems, strokes and cataracts. She said she told the Doctors at the hospital where she works "When you prescribe steroids you're killing your patients", so she's very against steroid cream now. I watched some videos from someone on youtube who went through it and she used collagen as a supplement, I'm considering trying that. Her channel is called "Fit and Nerdy", I'll put a link to it. th-cam.com/video/CUx2NVmFafs/w-d-xo.html
Hi Cassie, Thank you for so faithfully posting on your blog and TH-cam. I’m on my 14th month of TSW right now and I feel like we have so much in common- especially as far as allergies go! It’s so restrictive and debilitating, and I’m reading hoping I’m not such an allergic mess and can eat normal food for maybe the first time in my life at the end of this! 3 encouraging ideas below: 1. You talk about reacting to everything. I totally sympathize! (The list of foods I CAN eat is so much shorter than what I can’t. 😢) Have you heard about histamine intolerance? I discovered I had it before TSW, and while there’s no way to fix the problem, knowing that you’re not *allergic* to any specific foods and that it’s a histamine build-up could give you a lot of peace and tools to manage it better. I found Yasmina at healinghistamine.com to be a really helpful resource. Pork, wine, and chocolate totally destroy me! Also: I’m a patient of Dr. Rapaport and he told me “everyone is better in 5 years,” so just set back your goal post one more painful, challenging year! You’re healing! Keep up the faith. You have so much going on right now and you’re doing so well navigating it and hanging in there. 3. As far as working out goes: I feel ya! I can’t sweat without horrible consequences, but I’ve REALLY been enjoying Qi Gong for Healing with Lee Holden (it’s a DVD). It’s really gentle movements you can do without stretching your skin too much, and really balances me. It’s a time commitment, but it could be a restful way to carve out some me-time in your day. 4. I’m praying for you as a sister in Christ and I’m sorry you have to go through this! “He disciplines who He loves.” ❤️
Hi Cassie, how are you going now?? I’m going through TSW, I’m at 7 months now and it’s a struggle. Have you tried low histamine diet. Or just carnivore diet???

I would HIGHLY recommend adding a collagen supplement! It has done WONDERS for my skin elasticity and fixing my elephant skin!
