love that setup, the speakers sound beautiful 🔊👌. I have the Rotel RA 1412 its a fantastic amp I have it connected to a pair of hand-built Keff 104 transmission line speakers still sound great 30 years on
I have these with a Classe pre and power I love them you would have to pay good money to get better in todays prices Saying that I would like to hear the 802 Diamonds
+steve pearson The sound is a bit like having a loudness button turned on some like it some do not. I think they sound pretty decent but i prefer Dali though over B&W speakers. Themidrange to me is clearer on Dali speakers than on B&W where it is a little bit in the background.
+david high I have listened to B&W and Dali speakers in real life but actually came to the conclusion that B&W are generally better with a more detailed treble. Dali is easier on the ears so for long listening sessions they are wonderful

That Rotel is the equivalent of two power amps and a pre, in one box, maybe you should check in things like that before commenting, internally the 1412 is two totally separate power amps, and a pre-amp.

I do not know if it is a marketing gimmick but some manufacturers separate physically the two amp channels starting from the preamp. One case is YBA but also Boulder Audio for their TOTL units, where price is no object. They want the very best possible. There is another point using two monos possibly with XLR inputs. You can place them closely to the speakers reducing the length of the speaker cables. XLR cables are designed and built to work fine even if they are long. To get the same with speaker cables you need big section wires. In professional rigs at concerts the speaker cables are kept quite short and XLRs can run for tenths of meters from the mixing-desk to the stage ? Kind regards, gino
@@gino3286 The Rotel 1412 has separated power amps and a separate pre, contained in one box, they all have independent power supplies, and are shielded within the box, as good as you're ever going to get in a one box amp, and as far as physically separate power amps etc, the gain really isn't much to speak of, cross talk is minimal in the Rotal, basically won't effect the sound quality, although some will say everything should be separate, that just adds more interconnections, reducing any advantage, after all, many components , or in fact most components, have many many circuits dedicated to different functions within one box, this does not mean it is inferior, also the Rotel 1412 is extremely well made, over engineered, with a very underrated specification, and I would put it against many many separate power and pre systems, expecting it to sound just as good, if not better than many, you should really give one a listen through decent speakers, way better than you think it would be, believe me.

I had a power amp in some ways built similarly to the power amp section of the Rotel, the Nikko Alpha II that i destroyed in the attempt of modifying it. Much too sharp for MY ears. However, that's an excellent job you did on the recording appreciate you taking the time to do it. Beautiful speakers though. Wow.
the speakers deserve a MUCH BETTER amp than the Rotel..It will be incapable of nothing other than a glimpse of the potential of these speakers. I run mine with a pair of Naim 135 power amps and even then they could really do with a Naim 500.
That amp is a basically a dual mono integrated. Id put it up against the 135. The rotel is a vintage gem for those into the vintage stuff. Not to be underestimated.
That Rotel will easily drive those speakers, and most likely be better that most modern amps unless you spend a very large amount of cash, it's a brilliant amp in every respect.

На винтажном Ротеле с не такой уж огромной мощью и не совсем небольшой ценой звучат Бивни 802е! Интересно, что за кабели стоят... На своих b&w я убедился, что кабели и bi-wiring полностью меняют звук. Как будто другая АС звучит, порой после смены кабелей. И межблочных, и акустических. Влад, какие кабели стояли в этом тракте?
