This movie basically helped Disney get its groove back a little. It’s as good as the first one, and it’s actually very relatable to anyone who went through their teenage years.
21:13 I completely understand why Riley admires Val so much. She is very mature, patient, actually cool and thoughtful. Also a good leader. Val is a good mentor for freshmen students. Can’t wait for more inside out content. Hopefully we get some shorts or mini series
But she also has difficulty picking up on other's mindsets, as in the bar scene and Music sharing scene, she wasn't able to tell that, despite being terrible at hiding it, Riley was lying about liking the same things as her. She great, but not perfect, that's why she's a great mentor. I'm curious to see what her head looks like though
Anxiety turning Riley's Imagination Land into an animation sweatshop where joy isn't allowed is such a corporate clapback that I'm glad Disney didn't catch and remove.
Hey @dangamingfan remember me it's Cole Gensch from the last time we commented each other from the other channel and the show reaction a series of unfortunate events remember?
I hate how eveything in recent movies interperted as "it's a critique of disney1!!!1!!!", that's stupid. It's not supposed to be that, it's supposed to show how Anxiety turns your imagination against you.
@@wix-1-3dgcjt6 In the scene, a toxic leader is giving orders to an overworked team of cartoonists to make content for them, until Joy arrives to remind them what the true value of imagination is and what it should actually be used for. Come on, I understand if you don't want to see it that way, but it's not stupid to think that it can be a metaphor calling Disney out. I mean, it's no secret how most entertainment companies treat their animators and writers these days
Just hearing all those voices from the belief system makes it just so relatable, all those positive and negative beliefs colliding. Which gives us more anxiety to handle. Because we want to be our best self, but it can become more nerve wrecking to handle, because then we start doubting ourselves that we’re ’not good enough’. Seeing all 9 emotions hug the belief system just brings me to tears every time. Because they are not just hugging the system but ACTUALLY all hugging Riley herself, from the ‘inside out’, saying “It’s ok. We’re all here for you, Riley. You’re never alone. Everything is going to be ok. We all love you, no matter what.”
The anxiety attack made my wife cry infront of our kids in theaters because it reminded her of her panic attack she had back when we were in high school during gym class.
Dani should know that Riley used to live around her old residence at Eden Prairie within Minneapolis, Minnesota instead off assuming she inhabited Michigan on another capital.
Sorry but Nostalgia has been with you since you hit your teens. Like those times you enjoy recalling building your first snowman, your first Halloween, first Christmas and all the toys, food and cartoons you had that no longer are around. Thats Nostalgia. It's not just a simple memory. So open that door Timothee and let that old woman drive the console for a while. Oh, and incidentally, it is Nostalgia that can bring back Bing Bong.
The "Oh, Pouchy!" is also a reference to "Oh, Toodles!" from Mickey Mouse Club House, which had similarities to Dora the Explorer (with Toodles bringing the stuff Mickey and the gang needed, like Backpack did for Dora and Boots).
It's just as best as the first one. The new characters, voice acting, animation, and emotional depth, hit me hard. My favorite scene was when Sadness said to Joy, "Riley wants you," because it's parallel to what Joy said to the former in the first film, "Riley needs you"
While the original remains the gold standard for modern animation, this sequel more than justifies its existence via its empathetic themes, strong humour, and engrossing animation style
I'm glad I get to watch this movie on the release day. I remember there was a full pack of families and friends inside the theater when I was inside watching this movie. Inside Out 2 is indeed the animated masterpiece in history! Riley’s anxiety attack was truly realistic and I can feel that cuz it happened to me in the past in real life. I hope Inside Out 2 will win for Best Animated Film in Oscars next year cuz the story especially Riley’s anxiety attack is well written.
This sequel was awesome ❤️❤️ I loved the new story, the new emotions and loved how you got to see Fear, Disgust, Anger, Sadness and Joy and new characters all interact. I loved how they showed what every teenager goes through with Riley like having Anxiety. I Absolutely loved how they made that scene where Riley is having a panic attack because that's exactly how looks and feels when you're having one. I loved how Anxiety learned just like Joy in the first one that Riley needs all the emotions in order to make her healthy and be a really human Being just like every person needs Glad you guys enjoyed it and thanks for the reaction 💙🧡💛💚
Truth be told, not only is Bloofy a mix of Dora and Blue’s Clues, but this is also referencing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, which is one of the famous Disney preschool shows.
I swear, this is like the first movie in some ways. In the first movie, all Joy wanted for Riley was to be sure she was always positive and happy, no matter what, even through the darkest of times. But in the end, she finally understood what this was doing to Riley. For burying all that inner sorrow and doubt, it was destroying Riley from the ‘inside out’. She needed to embrace those emotions other than happiness. In the second movie, it was with beliefs, of what Riley thought of herself as. Only focusing on positive beliefs, because the emotions thought that that’s what made Riley feel accepted that way. Which again, was destroying her from the ‘inside out’. Because those negative beliefs are also what makes Riley Riley. It doesn’t mean that she’s a bad person. Everyone one of those beliefs makes her who she is as a human being. And other people accept those things about you, cause that’s what makes you you. Morals for both of those was so impactful and true. Never try to shadow your inner conflicts or negative beliefs with positivity. Because you won’t be hurting others if you don’t, you would hurting yourself the most. Hurting the real you that YOU are meant to be. Hiding the true definition of yourself. From the ‘inside out’. Always be true to yourself, and never try to bottles those conflicts up, embrace them and accept all your emotions and beliefs for what they can do to benefit your life.
52:08 Such clever symbolism used here. From Riley feeling the sun shine on her, it meant that whenever in times of doubt and stress, there will always be a shining hope to help overcome it. In this case, her friends, her family, her emotions, and most importantly, believing in herself. When Riley finally knew that, instead of her emotions choosing to take over Riley, Riley actually chose to be happy, she was now controlling her own emotions and chose Joy to help her begin that shining hope. Working at a smooth, steady pace while at the same time, to keep moving forward, knowing she is never alone.
@@bidishah Because the way they call Pouchy is a clear reference to what they called one of the characters in the series (who had the same function of granting items) without mentioning that they are literally from the same studio... I don't judge them for thinking in Dora, but it seems curious to me considering that they always leave easter eggs and this could be considered one (As I said, reference to Mickey Mouse ClubHouse)
This movie is a such a masterpiece. The way this movie shows the new emotions realistically is amazing like the Anxiety Attack. It’s so real and in theaters, I felt my heart beating with Riley’s. The quote from Joy “Maybe this is what happens when you grow up, you feel less joy” is so important because this is actually true. Further into our lives, we see more of the world and eventually at some point, we are less joyful but we eventually overcome it. When Riley apologized to her friends, I sobbed and my friends beside me were like “It’s ok. It’s just a movie.” But I AINT LISTENING. I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Also my friends dressed as each of the emotions. 😊
Idk. Is this movie really anything that great and can work as well as the first one. It sure is. Did not expect this to become the biggest animated film ever, but for how great it is, I’m glad it’s well recognized
I really loved this movie when I saw it in theaters. This film received positive reviews from critics and has grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2024.
My friends and I dressed up as each of the different emotions when we watched this in theaters and when I started sobbing, not crying, SOBBING, my friends were like “it’s ok, it’s just a movie.” but i ain’t listening. I love this movie and I’m sobbing through it. And this movie has officially made it number 4 on my Top 10.
I'm not going to lie, I cried in the cinema with this film, and I haven't really cried with a film, not even in the cinema, that shows how well done it is, and I'm glad you finally reacted to it❤
I enjoyed this sequel and the new emotions they introduced were a nice tradition especially Anxiety. I always think about Joy's quote “Maybe this is what happens when you grow up, you feel less joy” in my adult life. I work 8 hours a week get back home around 8pm and only have about 2 hours to myself. Some days I feel joyless but eventually I start getting better.
25:43 Whoever did the subs screwed up, because I'm pretty sure Ennui is female-presenting, so the correct phrase would be _mon amie_ (albeit pronounced identically). And for those wondering, although _mon_ is typically masculine, it's also used if the next word begins with a vowel, regardless if the phrase is masculine or feminine.
When I watched this film with my mother in the cinema, I was really amazed that Inside Out 2 spiced up this film of teenage angst that was relatable to my life in high school, this film cleared my mind and warmed my heart by fulfilling the emotional quotient of its predecessor I'm really miss my high school, because I made a lot of friends despite being mild autistic boy, now I'm in college but we can still connected through social media
I love how it shows that joy doesn't have the best ideas and takes risk just so Riley can achieve joy. And also in the belief system, notice that what Joy put in there is small compared to the once that she threw at the back of Riley's mind, justifying what she Joy said, "When you get older we feel less Joy."
I’m glad to have checked out this Pixar sequel, it’s very good! It’s great that Inside Out 2 has done so well as it has resonated with audiences, including myself, provided a great story, and gave us some new characters that a lot of us relate to. Thanks for sharing your reaction to this film, Tim!
30:22 in this part there's a yellow memory with a little boy floating in it ( that's an easter egg for the upcoming Disney Pixar's Elio coming out in 2025).
Joy removing all those small moments of embarrassment, mortification, and awkwardness seemed good to her, like she was protecting Riley, but in truth, it was denying Riley learning to deal with those situations. In a way, Joy made her too sheltered. So when all those complicated emotions started stacking up, Anxiety had an easier time taking over because Riley was so green in the complicated matters. As we age, even the simple emotions like joy and anger become more nuanced. Like anger can manifest as 'righteous anger' on behalf of someone else, and not just a tantrum over lack of dessert. The original emotions have a journey of their own in this film. But while they mature, Anxiety has an easier time to take over because it seems like the less complicated way of dealing with the world (overthinking, people pleasing, sarcasm, ghosting). There is a fine line between having a happy childhood and overly sheltered one. Both Joy and Anxiety were doing what was best for Riley in their opinion, but at some point, our emotions stop (or should stop) being in charge of us and we become in charge of our emotions, which I think the ending shows when Riley 'wants Joy' and Joy is compelling to take the console.
33:14 And I thought Joy was the only emotion who never showed any signs of stress or pressure from her role of staying positive and optimistic all the time.
I love watching this at the theaters and it was amazing. My favorite new emotion was embarrassment and what I loved about him is that when he stack the books to hide sadness 34:47. Embarrassment knew what they were doing was something wrong and yes he was part of this with anxiety by sending Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger and Fear away. But he know what was right about not telling anxiety.
I have to say. This has been one of the greatest movies ever in the Disney franchise. But what makes this movie really great is the message about what makes people is the good and bad memories that we make throughout our lives and even the panic attack scene actually made me cry because I had two panic attacks and I understand how Riley feels and in the end anxiety can change who your personality and can ruin your life. One of the best movies of 2024
I ended up liking this one WAY MORE than the first film, and compared to my friends and family. I think I had a lot of comparisons (including a few weeks ago at D23 Day when I had a “Riley Freakout” moment upon recognizing Pete Doctor.
If you look on the farthest left on Crushmore, you can see Jordan's head there. It's the guy who Riley met at the end of the first movie and was going out with him in the short Riley's First Date?, which means that she have feelings for him and they seem to still date.
18:49 is not to early for nostalgia. When you’re a teen in high school and things are stressing they tend to think about their times in elementary school and how things have change. What was easier and it was more fun to be a kid than a teen
I love the emotions, including the new ones, but with Anxiety as the least ranked. I mostly love the 5 classic emotions: Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger. It'll take a while for me to warm up to Anxiety, but for now, I welcome all 9 of the emotions into my animation friend pack.
I´m surprised that NOONE thinks about literally Mickey Mouse when Bloofy appears...it´s a clear reference and I haven´t seen a single person think about it...
Great, Inside Out 2, definitely one of the greatest movies of this year. Happy sunday, Tim, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Don't underestimate the power of nostalgia, with time it can turn the harshest of memories into type 2 fun, and everytime it kicks in it mellows out your view of the present.
An instant classic masterpiece. I wasn't expecting the cross animation between the main characters, video game, and traditional animation when I saw this in theaters, but it's an amazing movie. I'll give it an A±.
The first one is a classic in displaying how it's okay to mourn the past and be sad, but the second one does an excellent job explaining the impact of anxiety while showing how we all desire to fit in and how that want clouds our better judgment. There are so many directions this movie can go, and if Inside Out should become a trilogy then that's another path forward into showing the audience more about Riley's growth while at the same time finding more creative ways to tell a story about the inner workings of the human mind and emotions
23:25 I'm a Hungarian Voice Actor in Hungary🇭🇺 and I did the Hungarian voice of Pouchy!😁 I had a lot of fun voicing him, he's was really hilarious. And Bloofy was voiced by my cousin who I forced to come with me to the recording studio because he's the only one I know who has a high pitched voice like Mickey Mouse😅 (edited) P.S: Anger, Sadness & Embarrassement are my favourite characters, they somewhat resemble myself. 🙂
I went to see this twice. First time by myself and the other time was with family. I bawled the first time! I feel like this is a true Disney movie and making Disney come back to its true roots or at least I hope. But my luck is crap. Loved the reaction! The qoute that got me the most is: “Maybe this is when happens when you grow up… you’ll feel less joy.”
I think one thing I find very very smart by the team that did this, is that her emotions were controlling Riley: in the first and this movie. But at the end...Riley was controlling her emotions. At least that's what I took from the last scene when the console was literally CHOOSING Joy, not Joy just deciding Riley needed to be happy.
So at the end when Riley was grounding herself I was repeating the senses as she was. Touch, Sound, Smell, Sight. I don't think she did taste, I'll have to rewatch.
As someone who had social anxiety for almost 3 years I have dealt with similar issues that Riley in this movie was going through and seeing this movie was so good and beautiful especially that line in where anxiety says that we don’t get to choose who Riley is really shows you that you can’t let your emotions control you all the time and that sometimes things change either for the better or for the worse but that depends on you to decide how you want to live your life honestly this movie was better than the first one cause this movie is way more realistic and relatable ❤

Both Joy and Anxiety were doing what was best for Riley in their opinion, but at some point, our emotions stop (or should stop) being in charge of us and we become in charge of our emotions, which I think the ending shows when Riley 'wants Joy' and Joy is compelling to take the console.
33:23 - 33:29
In the words of the Sweet Jazz Police and Molly Blyndeff:
Percy: EGADS!
Officer: She swooooore….
Molly: AND I DON’T FEEL BAD ABOUT IT!
I have only one thing to say.
OH POUCHY
33:14 And I thought Joy was the only emotion who never showed any signs of stress or pressure from her role of staying positive and optimistic all the time.
I love watching this at the theaters and it was amazing. My favorite new emotion was embarrassment and what I loved about him is that when he stack the books to hide sadness 34:47.
Embarrassment knew what they were doing was something wrong and yes he was part of this with anxiety by sending Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger and Fear away.
But he know what was right about not telling anxiety.
The foghorns mascot looks like QBert, that's the character you mentioned which is one of the classic videogame characters
One of Pixar’s best movies, even though the first one is superior it’s still a 5-star movie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I agree
Disney and Pixar
Maya Hawke voice Anxiety so well.
49:01 She’s not freezing she’s fast like really really fast that you can’t touch her
I love Riley’s face when her mom talks about the butterfly
You two should watch/rewatch and review the High School Musical trilogy
18:49 is not to early for nostalgia. When you’re a teen in high school and things are stressing they tend to think about their times in elementary school and how things have change. What was easier and it was more fun to be a kid than a teen
I cried when I saw the movie in theaters, having anxiety isn't easy at all, I related to Anxiety on a personal level
so happy you guys reacted to it
*What's your favourite new emotion that was introduced in this movie??*
Envy
Embarrassnt
I love the emotions, including the new ones, but with Anxiety as the least ranked. I mostly love the 5 classic emotions: Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger. It'll take a while for me to warm up to Anxiety, but for now, I welcome all 9 of the emotions into my animation friend pack.
Anxiety.
Embarrassment
"Anxiety Out" would be perfect alternative title of "Inside Out 2"
7:25 I found interesting scene, Riley started to get anxious, and an orange memory ball suddenly appears even though the Anxiety hasn't be in HQ yet.
Blue's Clues + Dora the Explorer + Mickey Mouse Clubhouse + a touch of Bluey = Bloofy!
I think we can all agree that Disgust is the best emotion cuz she slays the hardest
I disagree
33:12-33:43 UH-OH! Never ever push Joy’s buttons
This movie reminds me of Turning Red
I know it’s made by Pixar, but a lot of the same elements are in this movie
Disney Pixar
An instant classic masterpiece. I wasn't expecting the cross animation between the main characters, video game, and traditional animation when I saw this in theaters, but it's an amazing movie. I'll give it an A±.
The 2D character is a reference to the series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse not dora but nice guess lol.
"You know her! You love her!" Its like pixar is telling us they know we love sadness the most.
I waited so long for this movie to come on digital and watch it. It’s a instant classic movie
If Pixar were to make a movie like this based on MY emotions when I was Riley's age, it would be Pixar's first official horror movie!
48:51 - Such a little moment, but Joy handing Sadness The Sense of Self says so much about her trust in her.
24:27 This is Mickey Mouse clubhouse reference😂🤣
Bluffy: Oh pouchy
Mickey: Oh toodles
I thought it was Micky Mouse's Clubhouse not Dora... but the shoe still fits.
23:25 I'm a Hungarian Voice Actor in Hungary🇭🇺 and I did the Hungarian voice of Pouchy!😁
I had a lot of fun voicing him, he's was really hilarious.
And Bloofy was voiced by my cousin who I forced to come with me to the recording studio because he's the only one I know who has a high pitched voice like Mickey Mouse😅
(edited) P.S: Anger, Sadness & Embarrassement are my favourite characters, they somewhat resemble myself. 🙂
I went to see this twice. First time by myself and the other time was with family.
I bawled the first time! I feel like this is a true Disney movie and making Disney come back to its true roots or at least I hope.
But my luck is crap.
Loved the reaction!
The qoute that got me the most is:
“Maybe this is when happens when you grow up… you’ll feel less joy.”
This movie absolutely deserved its $1 billion dollars!
What a surprise that you watched Inside Out 2 without telling us.
16:09 I like Anxiety holds her bags like this
24:35 yes but “Oh Pauchy” but is straight up From Mickey Mouse Club House. My sister and kids who I used to babysit were obsessed with the show
When Reily has the anxiety attack, that is an example of me when I have an anxiety attack because I have an anxiety disorder😢...
Malbread's outfit is life sadness'🤩
and I've watch this multiple times cuz i watch other reactions but it always gets me❤.
Awesome reaction of my favorite Pixar movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
Disney Pixar
This movie is so relatable because i did have an anxiety/panic attack sometimes in my life 😢.
This movie means the world to me and amazing reaction
I remember loving the first movie of this back in like 2015
44:01 - This is like ‘the match’ moment in Toy Story.
I love this movie reaction 😊I liked and subscribed
Thank you to the both of you to react in Inside Out 2. Great Reaction ❤️😊. More Reaction to come and God Bless 😊
One of best Disney Pixar sequels
I think one thing I find very very smart by the team that did this, is that her emotions were controlling Riley: in the first and this movie. But at the end...Riley was controlling her emotions. At least that's what I took from the last scene when the console was literally CHOOSING Joy, not Joy just deciding Riley needed to be happy.
13:54 I'm glad you catch the pun there. I thought you never notice since you don't react to it😢
So at the end when Riley was grounding herself I was repeating the senses as she was.
Its such a lovely one. It made me cry
I never thought of looking at anxiety as turning your imagination against you before this movie.
It was really enlightening for me.
I watched Inside out 2 in a reaction and I liked the movie.
Cool Inside out 2 let’s make some noise! 😁
30:18 It's the TripleDent Gum Song!
Amazing reaction, Tim keep up the good work
Appreciate it
23:40 Don't Forget Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
When I first saw it I did not think about Dora, this scene only reminded me of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
