Absolutely great tour, Captain. These are terrific for an old Eastern Seaboard boater such as me! As mentioned before, I served on Tug Boats from Miami, up the Intracoastal Waterway in the sixties. Good to see the differences. Thanks and smooth sailing to you and crew.
What boat? I used to ride the John Paul and the Myra. Left the river to work as a software engineer but damn do I miss it. That freshly painted deck looks sharp!
@@fatroth I just checked radar--looks like y'all are going 8 kts downbound, about to pass Eagles Nest Island on river left and Portage des Sioux power plant on your two-whistle. I used to practically live on that stretch of river!
I just turned 18 my family works on the boat it's gonna be my first time I go on the boat on may 10 this helped me I now know what kind of place I'll be sleeping in for 3 months straight
I think i worked with you a few months back on the joe pat eickstein your boat was in the shipyard at the time if i recall you were on callwatch at the time cant remember the name though it was july/august
My dear friend, thank you for this video. Listen: You move a lot of tons for your company - I know, what shipbuilding, shipping and conditions for the crew means and so I know surely, that you deserve better working conditions. I have never seen the shitting place directly behind the captains place. Never in Europe, never in Africa - only in God´s own country America........ -
L5P Denali oh ok so you just leave a boat fucked up when it’s not running yeah ok think before you speak dumbass you should clean and have boat ALWAYS ready to run when it’s needed like I said would not make it on my boat
@@allgasnobrakes4979 well its your boat so don't worry about it. We literally just got into dry dock and decrewed. So that is where all the line go. Yes you they clean everything up to be ready to ship up. But overhaul doesn't happen over night.
@@fatroth LOL Always one DOUCHE BAG Running his Cock holster !! Awesome stuff My Dad was a Captain for 25+ years worked for Wisconsin Barge Line, Conti carriers and More ! He passed away in his Room just outside of Louisville on the Ohio. I worked for ACBL, Conti carriers and ADM !

Need to square that front hold. I’d fire everyone on deck for that mess. Jk good video, safe trip if you’re still floating around.
Is this the Ronald wagonblast? I delivered groceries to that boat last week.
Zach Shocklee no same layout. But this is the Jonathan Erickson. The Charlie G is also the same.
@@fatroth It's a Dravo Corp boat. Same cookie cutter layout in almost all of them. Good boats though.
That's a pretty large tugboat. I never knew the cabin space was that big.
Cool video. How long MTC have that boat? You know previous name of it?
