I fitted one of the Welsh Willy trigger blades to my rapid, it's made a huge difference, though I'm fairly sure that if you've spent all your money on the leccy bill and can't afford one, the roller bearing mod would work well for a fraction of the price.
This one was an upgrade option from one of the rapid tuners KevG, so its a little more efficient then the standard, but yes in general the black plastic valves were fitted to the later models and are a bit more reliable. Thanks for watching.
A great informative video that's helped me considerably , love my Theoben but redundant at present as need a new cocking dog and can't find one ,any ideas please? .
Nice rifle and video J/G, If I was paying attention here it’s interesting the innards were imperial while the stock attachments were metric. Old and new?
First let me start by saying thank you for your video helped me big time. Second I'd like to pick your brain. My exhaust valve pin has 2 slots for seals. Jamie Dee has a service guide that says only one seal should be placed closest to the spring side. Yet when I see these pins for sale they have 2 seals on stating 2 seals make it more accurate. Any advice would be much appreciated.
I tried both combinations and couldn't get it to make much difference, I had a different valve in this one but I installed my other one with 2 seals. Thanks for watching.
I love your videos. Always clear and easy to follow. 😊😊
Ditto 😎✌🏼😎 Top man 👍🏽
Glad you like them!
A norther great video the theoben looks like a well made gun for back in the day putting the trigger back together looked so simple 😁👍🏴
Yeah its a solid little rifle, a little unrefined but you can't argue with the results. Thanks for watching.
Fantastically explained, beautiful n easy 😉👊❤️🇬🇧
Thanks
Glad you liked it

Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching.
I have a rapid mk1 its a 1997 is the black valve better than metal valve as it needs a service and could be changed

Is it possible to adjust/reduce trigger creep on this type of trigger?..TIA

@@sub12airgunners Thank you for your reply, had one made and all fitted . Needed your video as had to clean and rebuild the trigger so many thanks.
You don't know if I could get some parts for a Theoben rapid gamo trigger? I need the springs and pins. Thanks Keith
I've seen complete Gamo triggers for sale on Chambers and John Knibbs for less than £30, they may have the springs available.
Are rapids valve seat made out of engineering plastic?

I think they probably are imperial, 5/32, but that's so close to 4mm that it works without issue. good catch though. Thanks for watching.
@@sub12airgunners Ha ha yes… I completely forgot about that, I have sometimes used imperial Allen keys when they fit better… doh!!!
