My dog started coughing and retching recently like he has a hairball. He hasn’t been around any dogs or kennels! I realized he could get sick on our private walks by sniffing other dogs’ markings! Beware!

Does anyone realize what xrays and ultrasounds cost at the vet? You will end up with a bill anywhere from 400 to 700 dollars. I am retired and on a fixed income like millions of American dog owners. We need more information of how this started and where the virus is coming from. I heard some vets call dog Covid. I think they are spreading this info to scare the hell out of us.
They can tell you if congestion listening to lungs by stethoscope. A expensive ultrasound should not be needed. Or x-ray. Ridiculous padding of the services.

So now I am fearful of taking my dog to the vet for any routine treatment for fear of coming into contact with a sick dog that is in the waiting room who is infected with the mystery illness.
With the melting of the polar ice caps and the ancient diseases locked in them, I have no doubt that due to all the storms that those diseases could have been lifted into the atmosphere and falling back to land. Have any lab tests been tested against those refound diseases?

Sorry, but this told me nothing to 'Help' or 'Prevent' or 'Diagnose' this mysterious condition in dogs. My dogs been to 2 different vets here in NJ State. Neither of which knew anything about this mysterious condition until I brought it to both their attentions the other week. Weeks of anti-biotics did nothing to resolve my dogs condition. No one can even tell me what tests would confirm it's actually this mysterious illness as well. $1K dollars to date in vet bills and no answers. Called Oregon State Dept. and NJ State Board of Health (may have name wrong) and I'm told they have zero cases in the East Coast, which is 110% incorrect. How can you tell me you have no reported cases in NJ when you can't even test for the mysterious illness. Bureaucracy at it's best! Still no answers....my dogs been sick for over a month now. And according this this video it can last several months. Oh, and chest X-Rays also done and all came back clean/clear. Multiple antibiotics did not help either. Frustrated with no answers!

Yes run your dog to the vets so they can make hundreds of dollars doing these tests and then send you home after telling you they don't think your pet has this virus but keep them at home for awhile. My vet told me to wait 2 weeks to see if my dog improved from this cough and when it did somewhat I was told to bring her in and they ran tests and gave me some meds and send us home. Do you know what my dog has I asked and was told NO. So the only one to be happy was the vet that earned all this money for those tests. IMHO

I watched another video & lady tookher dogto2 vets. After weeks of not getting better vet prescribed a human inhaler. Dog got better!!

In my area, more like $3,000.00 to $5,000.00. My Vet charged me $400.00 to treat an ear infection. And that was just one visit.

Ultrasound is 400$ but x-ray is 45$. Since it involves the lungs and you have to rule out cancer, an x-ray is important.
