I believe many call this fusion. It’s a lot of genres like classical, rock, and pop all mixed together with jazz kind of being glue for it. I love it. I feel like it is different and interesting. Keeps me guessing and amazed rather than bored of a song.
Dirty Loops is a band from Stockholm, Sweden, made up of Jonah Nilsson, Henrik Linder and Aron Mellergård. Their arrangements borrow from jazz and jazz fusion, gospel, funk, electronica, pop, and disco.
My favorite part of this song was the Bass hands down. The. Bass is one of my favorite sounds in music and this guy knows what he is doing!. The Piano, Bass and Drums at the end was very cool, Wow. Come on now. They were all having way too much fun.
Yeah I agree. The bass was craze. And in sweden we call their fun while playing "Spelglädje" :-) Which sort of translates to "Play Joy". Sometimes these genres are more fun to play than to listen to I imagine.
Eskobar!! "Someone new" has a simple bass line, but for the newbie I was, I remember it was just so nice to listen. Could sound stupid, but I discovered a lot of things with your song (vocal harmonies, guitar riffs, etc.). Thank you!!
Their best song, IMHO, is called “Breakdown”!You should check it out! It’s a little less bombastic, and there is this part where the singer hits a note humans cannot hit...then goes above that!😱
Be sure to check out some of their other songs. This one is the most jazzy one I can think of. Listen to "Rock You" for example. I think you'll get into their other songs more. 👍🙂
Very enjoyable reaction. Yeah, this song-other than a side project called "Songs for Lovers" is the least vocal centric of the Loops repertoire. For a larger vocal performance I'd recommend my personal favorite "Next to You." The song has an epic quality and Jonah-the vocalist-really pulls out all the stops. I'd love to see you react to that one. Good work.
It seems every nickel-dime you tuber is jumping on the Dirty Loops name to rack up views. So at least give them their due. If it weren't for the name Dirty Loops, I wouldn't have bothered watching.
@@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 if you truly want some of the bass from this band could you possibly react to Next To You or World On Fire. Those are there more today songs with some the bestest bass you're ever gonna hear also another is Coffee Break is Over. Loved your reaction you just got another subscriber brother!!! All the best for you
World On Fire is my fave by them (tasty bass work), much more of a standard song structure than this one so I'm sure you'd like it better. They're managed by Quincy Jones, BTW.
I´m a Swede too. Sad to say this was the most boring and least appreciative reaction on DL that I´ve seen so far. He´s like a dead f***ing herring. Typical Stockholm reaction though, "don´t try to be anyone, and above all don´t try to be more than us!" The same attitude that ABBA has always had to struggle against, even to this day I think. This reminds me about why I left the country and live happily in Mexico since many years. Also it´s cool if you are able to pronounce your own band´s name correctly I think. If it has anything to do with the Spanish surname Escobar, which I believe it does, the accent is on the last syllable. That you could have googled.
lol, woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something? I'm Swedish and besides low-key smiling and headbanging through the whole song, he gives plenty of compliments including in the description. What kind of a reaction did you expect? Danny is a pretty reserved dude after all.
@@mattias5157 not familiar with any media coverage, but I think Danny is plenty heartful in his own way. Granted, not blown away but he talks about it not fitting his taste in music and you can't expect everyone go be a huge fan :)
@@KarlOlofsson I retract from my previous commentaries earlier today, I lost the context. I was so sure the thread was about ABBA. I wrote my comment a month ago and had forgotten that it was in a different context. You have to love ABBA, all right. But you don´t have to love Dirty Loops. Only that if you are musician you have to! Because of their skills and because of the joy they radiate. Not one reaction I´ve seen from any other place in the world has not been in awe over Dirty Loops. I think it tells us something. Now, I haven´t seen the reaction again and perhaps I was wrong. If I was I apologize.
This song has one of the best drum solos ever. And the TONE of all instruments, the bass but for sure also the drums, wooooo!

Love love love how they take a funk tune as a pretense to flex their chops lol! Noice blend of jazz, jazz fusion, funk.

You’re on the money with your observations. I’ll be checking out more of your reactions! Love from the US!
Thanks!
That was more like two songs, a lyrical and an instrumental. I enjoyed both.
Cool

@@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 Maybe not higher than him but close hehe.
lol Eskobar, I've had Someone New on repeat for so much of my early 2000s xD kul att du hittat Dirty Loops till slut också :)
Cool, glad to hear it :-)

so refreshing to see a band where they can actually play their instruments, and not just pretty faces. so mind-blowing...

I only did it cause it was recommended. Plus they’re not pulling any massive numbers here so...try again.

it's like a group of guys with Masters degrees from Berkley School of Music got together and decided to start a technical Pop band. lol

Why always label everything? You like it or you dont´t.
you look like an older version of Troy, Zac Efron's character in Highschool Musical, but emo.
