Coming from a 2018 340i, the evolution of the 3 series is impressive. The attributes of the M340i is close to a M3 competition. BMW is a leading innovative company.
thank you for watching! the car is awesome! please like, share and subscribe!
From pre-LCI to 2023 LCI to now 2025 LCI each time, they added some and removed some. In 2021 they removed burbles, encrypted ecu and added mild hybrid. In 2023 they removed laserlight, the leather airbag as standard on steering wheel along with some intricate stitching on the door panel leather, Added idrive 8 and updated visuals all around. in 2025 they removed the ambient light strip from passenger side which used to give the lighting continuity, but upgraded to b58 gen 3. Aside from Idrive 7 being outdated, the best for me is still my 2020 with shadowline laser light in black, easy to unlock and tune as well. Regardless of the year tho, this car is the perfect daily.
ikr, this is so annoying. It's always a series of trade offs, never progressive improvement / building on what worked. Hard to decide on a model year.
2020 is the last tuning year for BMW....ever. All ECU's will be locked moving forward. Get them while you can!
Superman Spec is back!
Yes sir!
i just ordered a 2025 in dravit grey 😮💨
Dravit Grey is the best color ❤

Not the hybrid system :/
Dravit is so awesome, congratulations!
@@AllenBMWDurham Allen how much do extended warranty run for this car?
Had 2020 in Portimao Blue with Oyster interior…great combo.
portimao blue looks really nice
I am watching this from the states, been trying to find one with this color!
majority of my viewers are in the US, thanks for watching!
Wish they fix the design of the rear diffuser area.
I think it looks fine the way it is, after market can help one individualize it
Wish the M240i kept the rear USB ports like the M340i has, such an odd item to cheap out on.
agreed, especially now that my kid sometimes has devices that could benefit from an charging port back there
love Portimao blue -- got it in my M3. But I like the new software for 2025 compared to 2024.
Yeah 8.5 is slick
@@AllenBMWDurham is it possible to upgrade the 2024 software at some point? does BMW offer that?
@rahul--12 no unfortunately
2024 is by far the worst model year...Worst steering wheel , no decent updates.... stay away form 2024s. 2023 seems to be a sweet spot. You get the leather steering wheel
@@ryanmatthew511 actually for the M3, I'd prefer the 2024 over the 2025 -- also b/c I got a good deal late in the model year. No need to pay-up for an extra 20hp with worse headlights.
Hi Allen🙋♂️Thank you👏 When you share this videos we are in the morning in Istanbul and you are waking us up with pleasure.🤗
What do you think about the stop sale process at BMW? I have a G60 waiting at the port due to a recall, but I'm not hopeful. BMW surprised us this time.
I think the process will take longer😢
thank you for watching! Glad you are happy to wake up to my videos! There have been ongoing stop sales recently its true, we are starting to see recall parts incoming and I think they are starting with X1 here. If you wait, it will come but i'm just not sure how long you will wait as you are in a totally different market. Good luck with your G60 :)
@@AllenBMWDurham thank you...Good luck for me and for all waiting customers🙌
Yeah Allen
Another one
Nice
most searched term for my youtube channel "m340i"
Ohhhh noooooooo ... Steering wheel is dead!!! Where is the beautiful Leather stitching in the center of the wheel?
that was gone already in 2023 :)
Wow. Disgusting cheap cost cutting
Also..why is the buttons being gone not so bad.... Why would I want to go into a menu to add steering wheel seat when a simple touch of a button used to do it.
Got delivery of my new 2024 Brooklyn Grey M340 xdrive with m pro pack and technology pack ( now not offered on LC2 which i think is a must for $800 Aud bigger brakes and discs and cooling)
Amazing vehicle - LC1 i think is better and saved $9000 AUD from Lc2
A bit upsetting they removed M Performance from the engine cover.
Many of the m440i gran coupes are shipping with the m engine cover but some did not.
We can't figure out if it's an option thing or maybe they changed it after they started making them to include the m cover.
Maybe these will do the same???
Could you do a review of a Z4 2025 skyscraper gray?
If I get one to make a video on I will
Pre sold? Need a link to the car in description

Heard any issues with the TU2 gen 3 b58 engine? I've heard "rumors" (not sure if fixed) of it having issues with the rocker arms interrupting fuel flow. Only thing stopping me from ordering one of these at the moment...
back before the normal kidney grill you are referring to, the vertical kidney was the normal kidney lol or just an F82
@@AllenBMWDurhamthis car has the b58 gen 3 starting 2025, same with m440i
The car does not have the typical unlocking sound when unlocking?
To me the knee pad is just not consistent thru out the models? I remember you noticed knee pad on your previous M240i LCI review but not on M340? Why BMW
I feel like its a coupe thing, I see it on 2025 M240i and 2025 M440i
I don’t really like that it’s coming with mild hybrid. Someday we will miss the petrol engine.
Also, I hate they are taking away all physical buttons and controllers. I don’t like having all of that on a screen.
Been mild hybrid since 2021
I have a 2025 M440i how do I get those purple lights on the driverside gauge cluster in the middle?
those aren't purple lights, they are the infrared sensors for advanced driver assistance package for assisted driving cruise control
Hi I don't see this on ur website - Any news?
Sold
Are the B pillars chrome?
White protective stickers on them lol they black
@@AllenBMWDurham ah that makes sense! Thought it looked a bit odd. Thank you!
@@oliverplanteI thought the same thing, thanks for asking!
@AllenBMWDurham phew, it looks terrible in that color, glad it's still black
these car are overpriced in canada 80k a m340i 80 fucking k a m340i really and 65k for a 330i wtf is going on these car use to be 52-55k
So dumb they took out the lighting strips on the driver and passenger side. Would have looked so much better all together with the cascade lighting
agreed, thats why I think for 2 series its pretty good since there wasn't any strips before either
Why the M240i 2025 doesn't have the B58 TU2 engine, and this does?
although the extra power sounds nice, most people prefer no mild hybrid, also I think B58 in the M240i is under rated and may actually have that torque lol
@@AllenBMWDurham this m340i should be faster then the m240i old engine because of the new power update on the m340i
Dravit gray or Portimao Blue
Dravit
i believe the 2026 m340i will be 95k
they changed the name adding lci
hahaha lci = life cycle impulse
Still hate how they made everything digital. The 1-8 presets were so unique. Only thing preventing me from buying a BMW these days.
Also the cost cutting annoys me - why do they need to remove ambient lighting strips?
thank you for watching! Its not just BMW doing this, its an industry trend, you can still do shortcuts, just through the screen instead of physical buttons. Took away ambient light strips in favour of the center cascading ambient light
@@AllenBMWDurham The real reason is that it essentially solves a lot of physical buttons and layouts with one screen. And it is much cheaper to produce, and they supposedly sell you the technology. And the trend is for the vehicle to cost as little as possible in production and to be charged as if they were pouring gold into it.
Nice Civic Hybrid chin
nice comment
A true driver would opt for a M2 for the same $66,000
That's what I did....same color
Brand new m340i & already ruining it by screwing holes in the bumper for a license plate bracket smh
Owners request and it's the law lol
I get the owners request part but the law part doesn’t mean much. I’ve driven every single one of my bmws for over 15 years without a front license plate & I’ve been pulled over for it a whopping 1 time & didn’t even get a ticket for it because I was actually pulled over for not wearing a seat belt. It’s not enforced by law like you think.
@xDeadEye1 I don't run a front plate on my car
Good review but why are you out of breath? lol
it was hot out, lots of walking and honestly probably need to drop some weight lol
I am happy they did not change to that ugly big grille..
Smoking crack if you pay $79,000 for a 340i
Could smoke a lot of crack for that money yes
in USD a decent RWD build is $66000 after discounts in a premium color like Dravit Grey. If they did. not cheap out on the steering wheel and kept physical controls for air ...id probably bite..but I do not think I will like interacting with this stupid infotainment appliance. also concerning is how right when BMW was starting to get reliable , they are now over-engineering the B58 and its gonna start going the way of their other crappy stuff
