Can there be regurgitation of blood inside the iv bag?

If the bag is hung below the level of the patient's heart, then blood will regurgitate into the tubing. However, there is a one-way valve on most primary sets that will prevent it from getting to the bag. If you're using a basic set, then blood can enter the bag if it is placed far below the patient's heart. The reason IV bags are hung up high is to allow the fluid to reach terminal velocity and end up in the patient's heart more quickly. The higher a fluid is hung, the more time gravity has to carry it to terminal velocity, so it'll reach the patient faster. Conversely, the lower the bag is dropped below the patient, the faster the patient's blood will go back down the line and into the bag. If the IV bag is at the exact same level as the heart, then nothing will flow at all, because they are both equal. Hope this makes sense!

Literally covering up the equipment during the entire demonstration. The camera is too far away and you can’t see anything that’s being done.

Not a very good teaching video. We can't see the IV bag, the tubing being spiked or the actual air bubbles being dispersed. And, also, what the heck about attaching the needle? - No view.
