I used to work for a lawyer, he said in USA 🇺🇸 Missouri, you could be fired for being ugly. That was 30 years ago, laws have probably changed by now. But we do have a 90 day trial period.
Nope, if you're in an At Will Employment state, you can be fired for any reason. Of course, if you fire someone for any reason other than during the trial period or misconduct, you're on the hook for unemployment payments.
Even here in the UK, which has a lot of laws to protect employees, many companies have a "trial period", where either side, employer or employee, can summarily say "done" and it's over. Once the trial period is over, companies have to have a particularly good reason, like breaking the law or damaging the company, to dismiss or fire an employee. Even if a company is going bankrupt and closing down, all employees are entitled to severance pay.

Jeff was all smug & thought he could just kick his loving wife out of the condo onto the streets & live the high life with his secret girlfriend. Sadly for him he was to delusional & on his high horse to realize it's not working out for him cause he forgot his wife & her family is why he's where he was until the divorce. He was so pissed things weren't going his way & was hoping to find a way to make OP suffer/pay him to leave or something that he started projecting by accusing her of cheating on him. Cheer up Jeff you lost your wife(jfc that was sickeningly sweet at the start), lost your high paying job that had good hours, your condo & your girlfriend but at least you found a place to stay, a way to pay your ex off & a job even if it's terrible conditions. Feels a little weird that OP mentioned his girlfriend left him cause she found out he lost his job & shit then mentioned she was horrified or something to learn she was an affair partner. I mean yeah it's understandable cause she likely can't support her boyfriend & there's possible red flags if he got fired out of nowhere but these stories usually mention this specifically if the affair partner is using the guy or something but they made it sound like she's an innocent bystander that got dragged into this due to unknowingly dating a married man.
Man, this story drug on and on. Anyway, Jeff really didn't think his actions through lol. It goes to show that what they say is true, a few years of complacency and people really do forget the circumstances of their situations.
Sounds like it's in the US. Here, we call it at-will employment. So, unless you're tenured or in a union, you can be fired any time for any reason. If you're in a union, you pay membership dues. The union should step up for you, though I've never heard of this. But, the employer will still go through the steps to get someone fired if they want to bad enough. It will just be slower with more paperwork.
I hate to admit the fact that I have been married 3 time :(, but such is life. But the one thing I noticed was when the fights or disagreements did not go their way, divorce was a quick subject to bring up. in battle, this thought never, ever entered my thoughts. Needless to say I did divorce 2 of them and my last I was able to stay with till his passing. RIP!
Jeff didnt realise that his company rather have the money from shareholders than a dicktator who wanted to just divorce his loving, caring wife JUST so he can live a single life in the condo of said wifes dad xD
I don't get the part about how no divorce lawyer would represent him because he had an unwinnable case. How does a lawyer win a divorce? Their job is to negotiate on their client's behalf for the best settlement. It's not like they have to pay for damages out of their own pocket, and they still get paid regardless of the outcome.
@@kme I agree that lawyers can choose to decline a client for those reasons, but the dialogue in the video specifically stated that no one would take the husband's case because they couldn't "win", which, to me at least, is a separate issue from whether the client could pay or not.

These characters in every story have hearing problems
"What did you just say?!?!"
Jeff: I want a divorce
Wife: why, what did I do?
Jeff: Nothing. I just really want to be single and to see you homeless.
Wife: ok who cares about you anymore...
Jeff: YOU'RE CHEATING ON ME!
Make it make sense....
None of this antagonist think beyond a centimeter in the future of their consequences
Also, I want to ask what kind of drugs Jeff is on to be that braindead... but it's probably him just being a walking piece of trash.
I used to work for a lawyer, he said in USA 🇺🇸 Missouri, you could be fired for being ugly. That was 30 years ago, laws have probably changed by now. But we do have a 90 day trial period.
It’s probably still true, if only during those 90 days.

G’morning everyone from Western Colorado.

Good morning from rainy Alabama!
That stupid laughter god
Here we go again with the 'she's cuter than you'.
Hey....give it up!!
Jeff's wish was granted by his wife.😂 Animal!....😂❤
I just had to chuckle when he randomly says, what do you think about homeless people? 😂
>"You are sorely mistaken if you think you can beat me!"
It's funny how the voice actor's tone of voice makes him sound like a bratty child about to have a fit cause things aren't going his way
He was realy a silly man not even trust his own loyers. She went far as telling him how to find a loer and he rufused!
I don't get why a guy should be fired for divorcing his wife just because she's related to the principal shareholder... It's pretty unprofessional...
Jeff: If I never have to hear your voice .....
Me: It's a text buddy .... what voices are you hearing?
The ones in his head, that told him divorce was a good idea!
I'm pretty sure firing him for devorcing the 'shareholders daughter' is illegal termination and he could sue
I hear disaster getting ready to happen 😂
I love this story ,as in _divorce ,darling ?!!!!
The Sarcasm is strong in this one....
Yesssssss
Love this he didn't expect all this yo happen thought he was getting the house now no job so stupid😅😅😅and
Jeff should give it a rest already. Op shows that she is a strong woman and can bounce back up on her feet. If it was me, I would have put all those boxes out on the street our on the street to be up for grabs and warn the jerk if he wants the stuff he better be quick. That was a crummy move fir him to pull on op.
Lmao hes mad for something he started. He wanted a divorce and he got it 😂
I'm pretty sure Jeff could sue them for wrongful termination...
Jeff's cackling is kinda creepy
Babyyyyyyyy she said yes with the quickness she was with The Foolishness and Pettiness I love her😅😂😂😅
Im just starting the video while listening out for my cat to figure out what the heck she did with her kids😂
Did you find them?
@@Iwant2beaEggMonster i did I have the family of three in cage for saftey now because I don't want to risk me or my husband accidentally stepping on them because they blend into the shadows well
Good story but it didn't flow. Too many gaps during conversion.
She should have realized sooner that he is radioactive waste. It gets everyones attention but everyone wants to get rid of it asap.
Good morning, everyone. While a good story, it dragged out too long
Good morning from Georgia :)
Hey Jeff could move into (actually under) a mullti-million dollar structure... Bridges can cost that much, right!😂
Funny how when the tables are turned, he turns into the victim.
I miss the landscapes. People aren’t as relaxing to look at.
Man, this story drug on and on. Anyway, Jeff really didn't think his actions through lol. It goes to show that what they say is true, a few years of complacency and people really do forget the circumstances of their situations.
I really wouldn't have thought there were so many people who didn't know who owned the house they lived in!
@@carolroberts4614"man of the house" ego overrides memory
That must be it!
They make them so long now, they used to be only 15mins 🙄🙄🙄
Spouses don’t pay compensation.
Jeff next time don't threat your wife with a divorce because you might just get it😂😂
The word of the day is “passive aggressive”. Hi to Lady Lemon if you see this😅
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
How do you not know who owns the place you live
Good morning from Peoria IL
Sounds like it's in the US. Here, we call it at-will employment. So, unless you're tenured or in a union, you can be fired any time for any reason. If you're in a union, you pay membership dues. The union should step up for you, though I've never heard of this. But, the employer will still go through the steps to get someone fired if they want to bad enough. It will just be slower with more paperwork.
I loved how smart she was😅
I hate to admit the fact that I have been married 3 time :(, but such is life. But the one thing I noticed was when the fights or disagreements did not go their way, divorce was a quick subject to bring up. in battle, this thought never, ever entered my thoughts. Needless to say I did divorce 2 of them and my last I was able to stay with till his passing. RIP!
I hate, hate, hate his laugh.
They still pick and choose who to work for, and if they think you can't or won't pay, they won't bother with you.
@@kme I agree that lawyers can choose to decline a client for those reasons, but the dialogue in the video specifically stated that no one would take the husband's case because they couldn't "win", which, to me at least, is a separate issue from whether the client could pay or not.
@@dantesque1728 a lot of these things, we just have to accept that it doesn't work in the real world lol willing suspension of disbelief kinda thing.
