How to make Soil Moisture Sensor/ Indicator
Hello, friends' In this video, we will see how to make a cheap and simple Moisture level sensor/Indicator, useful for plants.
Working- When the moisture level of soil will go low LED will glow indicating low moisture level i.e. your plant needs water again when water is applied to soil LED will turn off.
Components Required:-
1) LED
2) Transistor- BC547
3) Resistor- any value between 220K to 1M.
470K is used in the video.
4) CR2032 Cell Holder
5) Battery- CR2032 or CR2025.

[ Any resistor with a value between 220k to 1M can be used as R1 in the circuit..
With a high-value resistor(R1) the circuit will be more sensitive to moisture and with a low-value resistor, the sensitivity of circuit will decrease]

So it basically tells you that you are busy watering your plant or your plant is over watered. The test you showed was placing it into completely dry soil and then watering it. This would've been more confusing is you tested it on soil that isn't completely dry.

why not the opposite to save the batterie
so the LED off but when it detect Moisture it turn ON !

I have tried this one, my led is glowing when colletor and base are opened and turned off when its closed, but its not turned off when I put it on cup of water, please help

Check your connections, as sensor rods are connected to the emitter and base
