- Beryl is forecast to pass near or over Jamaica early Wednesday, near the Cayman Islands on Thursday and into Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula on Friday, according to NHC.

That's not real love, that's superficial love, if you really love Jamaica you would stay and ride out the storm with the locals, and help them back on their feet when it's all over.
@@deet4895 this is not my ship so i wont sink with it. I have been through two Cat 1 storms and it was scary. A Cat 4 storm is a different monster i would not wish on my worst Enemy.

Like hi-rises on the US Mainland. Hotel lobbies, and lower floors could be a safe place to stay. The wind's effect increases with height, the reason to avoid upper floors.

I think you can still go. Its likely the airport will be open by the weekend. If your wedding is in the northern section of Jamaica it should'nt be too bad but we just cant be sure, The south and east of Jamaica will likely get hit very hard.

@@jacinthmcintosh3059 one time when young a mini tornado went thru a camp ground in venice when i was there,,all the Europeans left,,but a bunch of Aussies,,kiwi's and southafricans stayed and helped rebuild it,,money from home so helpfull,,,thats what tourists can do,
With this hurricane, people from overseas are sending money and items that are needed like clothes, tin food, nappies etc. People are coming on to the islands with organisations to clean up and rebuild. The tourist in hotels with their suitcases, they can't stay and help in a hurricane. They have homes, kids, and jobs to go back to, so naturally they will try to get out before it's impossible to get out.

I would be doing the same thing, get the heck out of there asap. Hurricane is on a path that looks like a direct hit. Ouch. Not a place I would consider visiting regardless, State Dept has some things to say in their travel advisory, in other words do not go there for vacations.

There have been people who get to their destination and then set up Gofundme's to beg people online for money, claiming its so they can get back home.
