We have a number of rental properties. Our Bosch units kept leaking after a couple of years & the Samsung pumps failed even after warranty replacements. Their Fridges & microwaves are worse. The LG’s have been the best but now we are finding spray arm diverter motors are failing. Very cheaply made inexpensive part but a big job to replace.
Had 2 Bosch's top of the line and had to have them replaced for free luckily due to a recall on house fire hazard. Just saying1 Now I have a Kitchen-Aid that is now being replaced for free under warranty for just stopping to work.
Do NOT buy a Samsung with that stupid water wall feature. The motor that controls it will break and you’re left either spending $350+ for a repair. Or buying another dishwasher. I repeat. Stay away from any and all Samsung appliances.
My Samsung dishwasher just stopped working a couple weeks ago. It's only a 2019, was fairly new when I moved into my house. The control board is toast, can't turn it on or do anything and I can't even find a replacement board for it. Never will I buy Samsung appliances.
I second that. We had ours 10 months, and it broke. Had the service team come out, they fixed it. A short 20 days later, broke again. This was followed by 3 more failed attempts to fix by the certified technician. This and 3 months of waiting, we finally got a refund.
Can confirm! I work as an appliance technician in Australia, their appliances are plagued with issues. Their french door fridges have terribly constructed ice makers, constantly jamming with ice buildup. Pooling of water in the fridge compartment stems from a poorly designed evaporator, defrost system, that either suffers from a component failure or a blocked drain due to design. Their front loaders are even worse, issues with the cheap drain and recirculation pumps cause massive havoc to the main control module, making repair incredibly costly. The problem is so prolific, if it was under warranty when the issue was detected, we had to replace the entire coin trap assembly, interlock and main PCB to cover all the components that could be affected. Their dishwashers are just shit, the culmination of all their poor decision making. If you owned one, you've probably seen a technician 3 times before it even turned 5. 😤
My Bosch finally needs a pump after 18 years of running perfectly. I think it must be about 20 years old. So, I was watching this to try and figure out if I want to repair the old one or go ahead and get a new one. I think I will go with the 800 series bosch. Hope for a repeat of the old one.
I replaced my GE dishwasher and this new one is just a pain. It will not drain the water. They came out to fix it and it still will not work. They replaced it with a different GE dishwasher and that one is doing the same thing. Now I have to redo my plumbing. New technology is not always good.
I just got an LG Studio Dishwasher. After watching videos trying to figure out how to work this thing without enrolling in a rocket science college course, I have found mostly BAD reviews and most people are really struggling to figure these super complicated controls out. I would definitely recommend NOT buying one of these. As Elon Musk would say, "THIS IS A DUMB DESIGN." WAY, WAY, WAY OVER COMPLICATED FOR A DISHWASHER. I AM FEELING RIPPED OFF. 1/2" thick manual! WOW. I just bought it today and they want $5.00 to answer my question of how to turn drying off. Ran a load of lightly soiled dishes on normal. Not very impressed had several that didn't get clean. Yes its level. Yes I preheated water by running faucet. Yes I used the recommended detergent. Yes I checked sprayers spin freely like I always do. I may return this to Lowes. I sure wish it would work with a windows PC. NO I don't want an emulator on my PC.
I had a G.E. Profile dishwasher that came with the house when we bought our new home four years ago. It has broken down three times, not including this last time when it did not start. I'm tired of having to repair that piece of junk. All the pre-installed General Electric appliances we have have had mechanical issues. IMO, don't buy any G.E. kitchen appliances or you'll be sorry.
GE appliances are no longer an American company. GE sold it's appliance division to Haier in 2016. They are cheap Chinee junk. KitchenAid or Bosch. Nothing else.
I know that everyone has a dishwasher that they really like. We have the Kitchenaid model that is featured in this video. Ours is soon to be three years that we have had it. We really like it a lot. It does a fantastic job cleaning. Ours has the fan drying feature, which does a great job of drying the dishes. In a house that we owned in the mid 90's had the top of the line Kitchenaid dishwasher. It had the fan drying feature also. It had the quadwash system that LG appears to take credit. Ours had the quadwash plus two other blades, one on the middle rack and the other at the top of the tub. The newer Kitchenaids don't have the quadwash system, just the blades. Last thing to mention is that our dishwasher is very quiet.
LG's QuadWash system is not just a marketing gimmick like WhirlPoop's products though... with LG, two of the four spray arms change angle as they rotate, which KitchenAid didn't do, it was just four static arms instead of two...
No lie. The green energy Bosch dishwasher took over 8 hours to wash dishes. We replaced the Bosch with a brand ( Midea) we never heard of for around $600. Best dishwasher I ever had!
@user-dn9vd9xg9p: I think you would have liked KITCHENAID. Mine is 22 years old and still reliable and going strong. Washes really great and the no-heat dry also works great. I run my dishwasher at night and the next morning everything completely dry even with no heat dry. The fan continues to circulate the heat to dry the dishes. Approximate cycle time is about 3 hours which includes the water being heated by it's water heater.

I am replacing my new Samsung with a Bosch! The lower rack on the samsung is garbage, this video even mentions it. It doesn't slide in and out properly, very frustrating!
My friend had a Bosch and it started to stink after a few years. I had a Kitchenaid that went belly up in four years. So I'm at a quandary about which manufacturer to look at. My current Whirlpool in the home I just purchased is the original one put in when the house was built in 2009. Any suggestions? Is there such a thing as one under $600?

I’m watching this because my 800 dollar maytag has had nothing but problems. the tub leaking and messing up my cabinets was the final straw. dont buy it!!! the maytag and whirlpool reviewed in this video are the same models and the one I have.
My 2005 maytag just started to stop everytime the cycle starts. the dishwasher fills, begins washing an within 5 seconds cuts off. tries this 4 times then shuts off. Im hesitant to call a repair man to diagnose cause I dont want to waste cash on someone telling me its old and to replace. but I know this machine may still have life and maybe its just a cheap fix. Our 2017 Kitchen aid did the same thing, found a procedure on You tube to find the codes that our dishwasher had, your dishwasher may or may not have some as well. Just buy a new dishwasher. Having a technician to come out just telling what you knew already will cost you almost $200. Then the parts and labour, what you pay can buy a new dishwasher . That’s my experience three weeks ago.
Same problem with our dishwasher -- my husband is very handy -- he deciphered the code -- purchased a new control panel per code error -- still had the same problem. I am now looking to replace my 4 yr old dishwasher
My Ariston has 26 years old. I have to buy another diswasher because it leaks water underneath. I'm really sorry to get rid of it because it always washed the dishes very well. It would worth the repair but not the work and time involved in finding someone reliable to do it. I am hesitant between whirlpool, Bosh and Samsung... Maybe I'll choose the one with the lowest price.
My Whirlpool DW is a pile of trash, the head unit needed replacing after 10 months, and now it barely washes the soap off of the dishes, let alone clean stains.
I had a bosch S6, faulty just after 2 years warranty expired, too expensive to repair, bought LG Quadwash Turesteam, being 3 years now, faulty now, trying to fix it. To be honest, I still prefer Bosch, it was fast and clean. 40 min done the job, the fastest cycle with LG is 1 hour and 40 minutes .
