The Japanese ruleset is highly respected in their society. The reason for their reserved behavior is rooted in the belief that actions such as, for instance, urinating on a toilet seat, can encroach upon the freedom of the next person who intends to use that toilet. This principle also extends to the cleanliness of their surroundings, which is maintained out of respect for workers and those in the vicinity. All of these efforts are made to ensure that everyone can enjoy almost anything, as each person upholds their freedom with respect and dignity. Traveling to Japan truly feels like stepping into another world.

Indeed. They really shouldn't assume that other countries with a culture of civility (like Japan) wouldn't take action against this shit. The "quiet" ones often turn nasty when you push them too hard.
The Japanese legislature itself is starting to look into this crap. Ideally they could just restrict Kick's (or any offending platform) access to the country, making livestreaming impossible (and near-impossible even with a vpn). Worst-case scenario would be that _anyone_ trying to stream or take vids in Japan would have to apply for a permit (similar to a broadcast license), and anyone without one would be sent to jail.

I used to live there, served there for a few years. I took instructions from my superiors very seriously to present a good image of Americans. The first word I learned was ‘gomennassai’ meaning sorry. I almost never interacted with people, didn’t get into conflicts with men, never even looked at the women for too long to not make them uncomfortable. I loved them all though. Tried to look out for them too, just because it’s a soldiers job to protect and that’s where we were placed. I’m very introverted so I fit perfectly in a place where everyone is quiet and politely minds their own business.
All this to say, this breaks my heart and makes me incensed. If we’d have caught people pulling crap like this when we were there we’d have pounded them into the street.

That's very admirable. It is completely unbelievable to me how someone can travel to another country and then disrespect and harrass the people there, the idea of that really maddens me a lot.
I feel nothing but contempt for people like that; the fact that those streamers (or youtubers, whatever) try to make money by doing that on top of all makes it even more deplorable.

Me and four of my friends stayed in Japan for around 3 weeks to visit and experience the culture there since we have an interest in living there full time in the future. Being a foreigner, you are essentially a representative of your country of origin and showing respect to the locals is the best way to put your country on display. Learning the language, or at least making a damn good effort, learning the culture/customs, and keeping your head out of your ass are other great things you can do there to make your appreciation for their country and lifestyle KNOWN.
Needless to say, a group of five diverse-looking guys in a homogenized society tend to stick out a bit, but when I started conversations with some of these people, their faces lit up instantly. Simply speaking their language was all it took sometimes to make them feel at ease and open up to you. It is such a beautiful feeling to be asked by the locals to live in their country. But that's all it really takes to not be an ass. It seems like its pretty difficult for some.

The law has strict regulations and rules of interrogation because police used to treat suspects inhumanly and force them to confess their crimes but that was happening a few decades ago.
Japan has 99% conviction rate because police has to investigate well enough to get definite evidence for prosecutions BEFORE arresting. This is the reason why japan's police took so long to arrest Somali.
But police could arrest him multiple times according to how many crimes he committed and extend his imprisonment on each arrest. That gives police more time to do further investigations. Well this sounds inhumane enough to make people say "they break pisoners" I guess.

I'm old enough to remember Tom Green being the OG nuisance in Japan. He had a whole mini series of him being a weird, loud and obnoxious in Japan on MTV. Luckily TH-cam wasn't around then or this trend might have started sooner. I actually liked Tom Green, but yeah I just felt bad for the people he was bothering who clearly wanted to be left alone, but it just wasn't in their nature to say something to this weird foreigner purposely slurping ramen as loud as possible right next to them (making fun of a custom where slurping ramen shows that you're enjoying it.) Tom didn't break the law, although I don't think the rental car company would've been too happy with him luring monkeys into a car with food and then locking the door.

This just makes me sad. We say it's because Japan is the way it is that people take advantage, but it's really not just that. Before Logan Paul did it there was always a precedent; Japanese TV culture in game shows and anime and advertisements have made it seem like people do crazy shit in Japan when that was literally always meant to be a contrasting juxtaposition with a reserved culture. Because in Japan their entertainment is not about "representation". It's about enjoyment. It's hypothetical. It's curated. And most of all, by being all those things, it's safe and not problematic. At what point did we give life to people without the ability to tell the difference?

So in the begginging, people are just pulling bunch of pranks, then that gets outdated so they start really bully people, then viewers get bored, so there is a 1st real assault and on an on and then it just escalates into the most horrifying shit imaginable, just to get more views - because if you don't and your viewership drops down enough, black van pulls up and you're never seen again. These people need to be held accountable not just by the Japanese authorities but by their home countries' authorities and their citizens. The actions of these losers reflect badly on all of us even if we had nothing to do with it. Our reputation as Americans in other countries should be pristine.
Edit: This is off the cuff shit I'm about to write, but I think its crazy that some trifling ass 3rd worlder can come to America, get a passport fly the red, white and blue (Metaphorically speaking) and ruin our reputation in an instant. America and the department of Homeland security really needs to up their standards on who enters the country and let alone who gets citizenship. Because America is literally letting anyone come in and that ain't cool. This is why we need standards.

I’ve lived here for several years and Japan is already a society that 9/10 times “don’t want to take the risk” when it comes to foreigners. You do everything in your power to be courteous and then these motherfuckers come along and confirm those biases publicly for the entire world to see. I don’t need more restaurants refusing to serve me or apartments denying my applications, just to line the pockets of some dickhead trashing what is, at this point, my home. I think you very quickly harbor resentment towards foreigners while living here because of people with this “japan is a theme park” attitude, which is really unfortunate because I’d like more people to be able to experience Japan for what is has to offer. To see the door finally open for people, only to have someone want to slam it on everyone else’s fingers for giggles is extremely disheartening.
