Vaporeon in Yellow is coded to learn both Mist and Haze at the same level. However due to the way the game is coded, a Pokémon cannot learn two moves at once because of this, it can't learn Mist. There is a way around this, train the Vaporeon in the day care south of Cerulean City and it can learn both Mist and Haze.

That's quite the coincidence. It's not like anyone at ILCA had to run every minor change past some Nintendo quality checkers since the game released like it never went through QC at all.

That Gogoat looks nearly identical to non-shiny Gogoat, so I'd assume it was a beta pallet for the non-shiny, maybe even just weird lighting. The sparkles are part of the trade animation if I'm not mistaken, not the shiny sparkle.
In Generation 4, TM 62 was Silver Wind, but Silver Wind was deprecated in Gen 8. Instead of re-adding it, they replaced with a similar (special bug-type) move which wasn't a TM (Bug Buzz was previously only TR 61 in SwSh, and never a TM in previous generations).
Dewgong is currently named after the dugong, the closest living relative to manatees (which the pokemon resembles a lot more), so equally original as Seel is based on "seal" and Manaty is based on "manatee."

You cant just attack Seel for having an uncreative name when Dewgong is exactly the same. Dewgong is literally just a dugong (a relative of manatees with a spade-like lip and a fluked tail).
And you cant use the excuse that its a pun (dew + dugong), because the word 'seel' also has another meaning. It refers to the rolling of a ship in a storm. Fitting for a water type. The word 'seel' can also mean good fortune.
If Dewgong is a dewy dugong, then Seel is a seal which bobs and rolls in the water like the seel of a ship.

But when it happened it said, “Jamie is evolving”. This is weird because Eevee has no nickname, and it’s OT name was mine, not Jamie. My friend’s name was also not Jamie in this game. Not even the Eevee who was traded to me to breed this one had the name anywhere associated with it. So where the hell did it come from?

It looks to me that the Palkia you showed at 7:11 wasn’t shiny. Considering I’m doing a Full Odds shiny Palkia hunt right now my eyes could be playing tricks on me.. it’s just got me curious to if i’ve missed a shiny now😅🤞🏻

I´m doing a shiny palkia hunt right now and this also gave me a heartattack, because I though I missed mine. But I´m pretty sure, the shiny palkia he showed is in fact not! shiny.

Yeah the Palkia one isn’t shiny, if it were the white would have a bit more of a pinkish hue, not sure how he missed that

While on the topic of shinys having refrences, palosand from gen 7 has a shiny form that refrences the black sand beaches of hawii, the place sun and moons region is based on.

I can't say "Seel" is the worst name for a Pokémon.
I mean, "Conkeldurr" is way worse.

I don't know if you ever mentioned this in any other of your videos but if you max out your friendship with Pikachu before level 10, it well learn the move Thunder at level 10.
Sorry if this is widely known or if you already covered it but I thought it was really cool.

A dugong is actually an animal, so no, dewgong's name is not more original than seel's 😅

Awesome facts man, I'm also impressed at the background music chosen. Very cool to hear a poketuber not just using Pokémon game tracks. GTA 3 intro and the remix of ELO's Twilight in particular were pretty awesome 😎

A dugong is still just an animal though, the only somewhat clever thing about Dewgong is the Dew part because water type ig

Omg the duskskull, shuppet, and chimecho fact is really cute. Just imagine the three of them roleplaying that they are these massive god-like pokemon on top of the mountain.

So on the point of hidden meanings in a pokémon's shiny, I once had the realization that shiny Aron/Lairon/Aggron are likely green due to there being copper in their diet, therefore the green would be a patina

I think they might like Renegade Platinum since Cynthia in Giratina’s sygma suit is called Renegade Cynthia. So perhaps it was an intended easter egg.

    • @silverkyrie4714
      @silverkyrie4714 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Giratina is also called the Renegade Pokemon in the Pokedex though, so it's more likely referencing that.
