The most realistic thing about this movie is the guy being with his parents at that age. Most of our generation and below will NEVER move out of their homes. We're steadily moving back towards multigenerational family homes here in America (never should have moved away from that in the first place, but yeah).
Sad but true same here in Australia, all my kids are still stuck at home as rents have become ridiculous. My eldest is 28yrs old and even with a base level full time job, she's a uni graduate still can't afford to live on her own without share housing. Both my hubby and I left home by 17yrs old and could afford to live on our own and that was with very little work, the rents were just substantially cheaper and the government helped more too.
I recall the movie and it triggered me how (as I recall from memory anyway) there were at least 2-3 chances of when she noticed things becoming odd and dangerous for one's health ror condition but then somehow conveniently ignored seeing a doctor or whatever. She could've been contained and treated in time and avoided a major...outbreak I guess.
It could be her thinking being impaired from the changes or possibly some part of her being changed in a way where she's more okay with it/doesn't want to stop. Given the fact its completely changing her entirely it really wouldn't be a stretch to say its also altering her brain to not seek out help intentionally despite her distress or just a matter of her bug brain considering bug body normal body

I had a dream that a bunch of baby animals were running around and I picked up a baby bunny and introduced it as my son. My doctor had insisted I was definitely having a girl just a couple months before my son was born. Four of his cousins were born within a year.

I am writing a book about various creatures of horror. One of my creatures is an alien bug who has 6 quadruple-helix DNA chains. It is both a parasite-type and symbiote-type organism who burrows into another creature and mutate them based on genetical compatibility: Non-compatible - the host becomes turned into a cocoon-type hive for reproduction of the original alien bug creatures; Semi-compatible - the host gets mutate into one of the three primary forms whose main jobs it protect hives and gather nutrients for alien bug young. Three primary forms are: combat form with enlarged muscle and anger issues, defensive form whose skin becomes literal armor, and ranged form who spit out boiling hot organic acid; Fully-compatible - alien bug fully melds into the host and allows the host not only to maintain their consciousness, but also direct their own mutation pathways. However, the more extreme emotions the host experience and give in to desire to change themselves (for any reason), the more inhuman, cold and predatory they become, until eventually everyone of them become like living machines. Fun part is that when the host is mutated, then their DNA also get slowly turned into quadruple-helix chains, and completely old genes become expressed in various ways. In extreme cases you could even say infected individuals would be forced to regress into more primitive version of life by tapping into ancient genetic information, which in turn would also make some of the infected with high-exposure to water turn into sea-bug forms like crabs and lobsters.
@@randallbesch2424 Well, I will leave the story with an open end, however, because alien bugs are very tiny (appearing like black grains of sand) in their original form, and can infect almost any other organism (except plants). In the story humans try to fight back by burning down formed population centers and spaying various pesticides, however, the real threat in the story lucks deep beneath the ocean as bugs move into the ocean and start building gives deep below the water to eventually emerge as giant monsters after a decade or two.

Male here, my entire family all my life have told me and my brothers to be wary of dreams about fish. As apparently someone in the family is pregnant. I’m not sure why the men of the family have the dreams, but I can confirm. I knew my gf was pregnant when I woke up one morning after a fish dream and after that I noticed a baby smell on her so I told her to take a test. I believe it’s hormone induced as I can distinctly smell ‘baby’ on her. No idea why it’s fish dreams either.
Woman here, when I was pregnant I was very anti-chicken but never dreamt of fish… also the amount of movies where people are puking then kissing someone without brushing is kraxy 😂😂
The odds that an alien life form could get to Earth, let alone be able to alter a human hosts DNA sufficiently to change the hosts physiology is mind bogglingly remote. Thousands of compatable mutations would be required.
He immediately went back on it to be fair. Sometimes that's what it means sometimes it isn't. Sometimes there's another person sometimes its just them having doubts. Not a good sign either way but definitely not surefire they're cheating but sorry you had to go through that buddy
A genetic potential I think you regularly overlook that IMO is super-strong for this movie: polydnaviruses. Like, the "bite" injected a mix of super-retroviruses and probably some sort of weird parasitic something that produces eggs using her biomass, like a larval queen or something.
Dude you’ve quickly become my favorite channel on here, and I don’t even really like this type of movies lol. I just dig the biology, classic car knowledge (identified a 66 Mustang today because of you), and spicy opinions on the government 😂. I will say though, as a SC resident…I was offended by your characterization of my state in the Slither video…you were too nice about it 😂
This movie weirdly reminds me of Contracted and I'm deeply glad that I've never seen either one outside of your channel, Roanoke. Thanks for taking one for the team, my dude. Much appreciated! 🤢
My wife doesn't recall dreaming about fish in the early stages of pregnancy, but she did have a dream about getting freaky with Slenderman, which is probably worse.
People always forget about the cvs minute clinic! Same day appointments much cheaper than urgen care. If there is a chance it's not serious go there first.
10:02 Wouldnt she still deplete the oxygen in the bathtub water overnight? I mean she wasnt replacing the water while sleeping, so she had a limited amount. Would there even be enough oxygen in a tub of water to allow a person to survive overnight? Quick somebody good with science figure that out.
I thought I had mentioned that but in this late hour I did not. I think its because she did deplete it which is why she woke up quickly. Sort of like when you hold your breath at night you get that freak out
As per usual, no one in this movie has any form of survival instincts (with the exception of Jared/Jarrod (or whatever the spelling of the version of his name is). This trope has long outstayed its welcome. That being said, I hate cheaters, and I was actively looking forward to their respective “ends”.
Roanoke! Would you consider doing a video on the viltrumites from Invincible? I know it’s animated and you don’t seem to really go for those but I’d still really like to hear your take on their anatomy and how you could potentially explain their existence
To answer your question on the weird climates in a small distance, it’s most definitely possible. I live in Brisbane, Australia. Most of the year it’s hot, humid and sunny. Even in winter, it’s not abnormal for temperatures to sit in the low-mid 20 degree Celsius range. Stanthorpe which is 217 miles away has an average year round temperature that is equivalent to Brisbanes winter temperatures. Brisbane has never (maybe once or twice in the history of the city) had snow and is usually shorts and shirt weather. Stanthorpe has snow, and a lot of it, for a decent part of the year. It’s weird, but absolutely possible.
FYI for everyone; Roanoke is of the "old" vintage circa '92. He's only 32 years old. I say that cause I AM of that same vintage. I mean, 32 isn't "old". I'd wager you can first say "old" for a man when you have to get up at night to take a thimble's worth of piss several times over each night, ..or when you can't get it up without having to yell at it. (pr0-tip; Shia LaBeouf's "just do it" video is said to work wonders for that issue, just play it at repeat at max volume on your phone in the bathroom as your lady friend waits in the bedroom)
I’m thinking about writing my own book/short story and I’m gonna keep binging these videos to give me realistic ideas for creatures/diseases/parasites I can have for some good world building

this just makes me want to see you cover the fly remake from the 80's
The question "Did you dream about fish?" will now forever haunt me.
The perfect humanity-first cold open
didn't know roanoke had a stroke with this one
Godzilla deffo had, trying to read it.
Roastroke.
20:20 Roanoke talking from experience. And as a man with that experience, I feel you.
That's it, Roanoke managed to unalive Godzilla!
22:42 "Girl dinner ☺️"
Now no one can complain that they don't know what this video is gonna be about
Dude you’ve quickly become my favorite channel on here, and I don’t even really like this type of movies lol. I just dig the biology, classic car knowledge (identified a 66 Mustang today because of you), and spicy opinions on the government 😂. I will say though, as a SC resident…I was offended by your characterization of my state in the Slither video…you were too nice about it 😂
The cut to Homer choking Bart was perfect
This movie!
It was surreal, I saw it without warning, it was an experience!
I asked a few times for it to be covered here, so I'm happy~
Roanoke Gaming and going to the gym is a goated combo
In case it changes, the original title was "Bite movie explained explored film video how to survive horror alien insects viruses" lmao
Happy to hear youre getting back out there man, keep on keeping on
15:11 instant caviar! 😂
This movie weirdly reminds me of Contracted and I'm deeply glad that I've never seen either one outside of your channel, Roanoke. Thanks for taking one for the team, my dude. Much appreciated! 🤢
Just found your channel and already done binge watched like a years worth of content in 2 days.
If mosquitoes, this could be Society or human annihilation level. What if a bug did exist like this, I believe people would be living in the Antarctic
That intro was on point. Man: 1 bugs: 0
My wife doesn't recall dreaming about fish in the early stages of pregnancy, but she did have a dream about getting freaky with Slenderman, which is probably worse.
Lmao
The writer of this movie must have REALLY enjoyed the Alien prequels.
The fact someone thought it would be a good idea to just show up on the doorstep of someone a ripped as you is fucking WILD
Love this format. Explanation of the science while explaining the movie!! Good stuff
People always forget about the cvs minute clinic! Same day appointments much cheaper than urgen care. If there is a chance it's not serious go there first.
I’m surprised you haven’t done an analysis of Harbinger Down, seems right up your alley.
Me in this apartment complex: "Ain't none of my business."
Sort of like when you hold your breath at night you get that freak out
Breathing break cleaner while listening to this
me in my garage constantly
Yay! I've been asking Roanoke to cover this movie for like 3 years now!
As per usual, no one in this movie has any form of survival instincts (with the exception of Jared/Jarrod (or whatever the spelling of the version of his name is). This trope has long outstayed its welcome.
That being said, I hate cheaters, and I was actively looking forward to their respective “ends”.
Roanoke is always cool. This is an amazing channel and content. And it always will be. ❤🤙
Roanoke! Would you consider doing a video on the viltrumites from Invincible? I know it’s animated and you don’t seem to really go for those but I’d still really like to hear your take on their anatomy and how you could potentially explain their existence
His focus is more disease based genetic conditions, etc.
How you find these movies and stomach watching them is a mystery. But I am grateful that you do. Keep it up good sir.
We need a Roanoke Channel where all he does it give dad advice about dating, drinking, cars, and other basic life skills 😂😂😂😂
So glad you covered this
I remember watching it and wondering what the heck was going on in this movie
Really glad I know now thanks Roanoke
I have watched almost ever roanoke vid now he has blessed me with a new one thank God for this man
10:30 what's more weird is that her body did not experience any wrinkles. that long underwater would have some effect on her skin.
One of the best ways to start my day is with a new Roanoke Video 🤙
I don’t understand how you only have 1.06m subs. You deserve way more
I love roanoke gaming, kind of randomly informational movie content, truly peka
Roanoke seems like a real mans, man. Like someone id hangout with.
that mother inlaw must be one hell of an arcitect if she managed to make an entire appartment complex sound proof 😂😂😂
Nice glad youre covering this gross fun movie
FYI for everyone; Roanoke is of the "old" vintage circa '92. He's only 32 years old. I say that cause I AM of that same vintage. I mean, 32 isn't "old". I'd wager you can first say "old" for a man when you have to get up at night to take a thimble's worth of piss several times over each night, ..or when you can't get it up without having to yell at it. (pr0-tip; Shia LaBeouf's "just do it" video is said to work wonders for that issue, just play it at repeat at max volume on your phone in the bathroom as your lady friend waits in the bedroom)
Dude I think you need to get your prostate checked.
Pregnort "oops" seal meme I am dying XD
20:55 just as i was still lingering on his previous statement, so was Roanoke.. caught me offguard how both of us still had it on our minds 😂
At least we got a video and god, i love the feeling
I’m thinking about writing my own book/short story and I’m gonna keep binging these videos to give me realistic ideas for creatures/diseases/parasites I can have for some good world building
I'd like to see you break down the alien parasite/symbiotic organism. From the music video. Control by Biting Elbows.
I LOVE how this dude treats people that cheat in any kinda way in these vids😭
I'm glad you asked 2 hours long voice message
