To switch off from work mode, I write a to-do list of everything I need to do the next day ao its out of my head. I then have a cold shower or go in my cold dip pool to switch my focus X

Little trick that helped me when I can't fall asleep is to avoid looking at the clock, no matter how long it has passed. If you see what time it is, your brain just starts calculating the amount of sleep and theeen it gets even worse 😅😅

At a vipasana retreat, we were told that when you can't fall asleep, you should just do anapana meditation (~following the breath in a small area below the nostrils) and that the body gets similar rest from that. It may not be totally true, but believing it helps get rid of the stress of not being able to sleep.
If I'm ever destroyed the day after a bad night's sleep, what I do is have a 30min nap around noon, that revitalizes me completely. If you WFH, this is quite feasible.

This was so enjoyable to watch! Beautifully explained and edited so well! Thank you! Your interiors are exquisite. Clutter and dust free, and aesthetically pleasing! HOW?!
I highly recommend watching Dr. k's videos on sleep. There are at least two that i found super helpful (one is a bit lengthy, but definitely important). He goes into much more depth than Andrew huberman and provides different tips than hubes and dr. Walker . I would share them for you but TH-cam always deletes my comment when sharing a video 😢
As to your struggles, i would say you have to work outside or away from your house a bit if you're a remote worker and struggle to turn off your work brain. I am also super hesitant that you silent your phone. What if there's an emergency and someone's trying to reach you?! 😮
Something that i try to do different is that i cannot do any "brain"/thinking activities. So no crosswords or reading. I also try to not get up and leave the bed after 20 mins of struggling to sleep and do a different activity, which is often recommended. As someone with a lengthy history of all nighters, procrastinating ,and stress cleaning 😅 it just wires my brain to stay more awake. I just stay in bed, use my phone (i know! 😮) on night shift, and watch videos. If im lucky ill listen to meditation, nsdr, sleep stories, or an audio book. Sleep stories are my personal favorite so i highly recommend those.
New things that i hope to incorporate soon are the low level lighting with lamps, aromatherapy/lavender spray in the room, and using a proper alarm clock. When im rich ill get the sunlight alarm clock and the sleep tracker 😅 when im brave ill leave my phone in a different room while i sleep 😅
