Great video. Love all your beautiful WIPS and new starts. Those butterflies are just stunning! Thank you for taking the time and share your work with us. Love your positive attitude!
I love all of your WIPS and your planned starts for the camp. Your yarn bowls are gorgeous. I have not seen these before. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a wonderful time at the camp and will look forward to all the yummy details!
Omg!!!! I love love love all of your work, but I absolutely adore your Butterfly lace Chatelaine I would love to stitch this. I can't wait to see the finished piece, your plans for framing sound wonderful. I hope you enjoy your little stitching retreat it sounds amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. Happy stitching 💞
Thank you very much, You should definitely stitch a Chatelaine, they are a lot of fun and I've yet to see one that didn't turn out beautiful. I can't wail to get out to camp, it's so relaxing and all the ladies there are a blast to stitch with
Love your video! You're going to have so much fun at camp this weekend. It's so fun to be in a room full of people that love doing the same thing as you. (I liked: Blackbird = darker thread; Plum Street = orangier one) Jeannette is SO lovely and her designs are amazing. Have a great time this weekend!
Thank you for the input for the thread. Jeannette is such a fun person to interact with, this is my first time stitching one of her designs and I'm loving it so far :-)
Butterfly lace looks gorgeous! Stitch camp sounds like fun and your new starts will be great. I stayed at the West Edmonron Mall over 20 years ago. My son played in a hockey tournament at the ice rink there. What a place! I enjoy your videos very much, thanks for making them!
Yeah West Ed Mall is quite the place, I actually try to avoid it as much as humanly possible, especially during peak/busy seasons, but it is nice to have pretty much everything under one roof. Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoy my videos as I'm having a lot of fun making them :-)
glad i found your channel! you have lovely wips and the butterfly chatelaine is just gorgeous! have fun on your retreat, looking forward to your next update.
Your Butterfly Lace is gorgeous!!! I love your yarn bowls and meant to comment on your shawl last time. So pretty! Great project's to take with you to stitch camp, happy I can jump right into that video and not have to wait! I feel your pain on the threads - I like to pick threads in person for that very reason too. Oh the surface embroidery!!! So much fear! Will look forward to seeing how it went. Maybe you'll inspire me to give it a try.
Thank you. Unfortunately the shawl met an untimely end and will need to restarted in the future, one dropped stitch and I was lost :-( I also haven't had a chance to pick up my Bumblebee sampler yet, but am hoping to have it finished before the end of the year.
Thanks for the encouragement, I'm sure it won't be bad once I get started. Looking at all the instructions at once is overwhelming. Which butterfly version did you do? I bought the thread packs for both the pink and purple versions as it was too hard to choose on just one :-)
I saw you on Denise vlog at the camp, i think you guys were having a blast! Your planned new start look really good i cant wait to see how much you will get done.
Thanks Orietta, it was tonnes of fun, not as much stitching progress as I was hoping for, but it was so nice to meet new people and catch up with some old friends
great video, I am sure you will be fine with the bee project, I would be scared to, and cheers for they Mable link, I have just got my hands on some really cool hardanger fabric, I was just looking for a pattern, and threads. happy stitching. can't wait for the next video.
Thank you! I ended up with a but of a problem with the bee, thankfully there was a lady teaching a course on hardanger at the retreat so she was able to help me out :-) Have fun with the hardander, I'm really enjoying the extra challenge it's giving me
Oh that issue with the two color would make me a crazy person! If you are doing it with two threads you could tweed it (use one of each color). Like I said, that would make me nuts. I am going to have to watch for that if I have to order two of one color! I am doing a Jeanette Doublas sampler right now, how fun that you got to meet her and interact with her. The fabric is lovely. I had an issue with the thread pack on one of her projects so I no longer get the packs, I just buy the threads separately.
Sorry to hear you had a problem with a thread pack, it's always a huge worry to run out of a color. I like the idea of blending the two colors together, thanks for the suggestion
Hi Jenn! Butterfly lace is gorgeous, great new starts planned too. Have fun at the retreat. Im going to one next month and can't wait. Btw, I love your videos and you're one of my favorite floss tubers.
Thank you Stephanie! I love watching your videos as well :-D I had so much fun at the retreat, not as much stitching done as I was expecting, but that's to be expected. Your going to have so much fun it's so relaxing and it's nice to be surrounded by people that have the same passion as you do. Where is the retreat that your going to?
I've never heard of that facebook group before. Its really nice to be able to meet people face to face after interacting with them online though. Your going to have a wonderful time I'm sure
Ok finally watched it all.. Had to wait till kids were in bed lol...... If you read this before tomorrow... I would like to look at your pattern and colours in person to give you a better idea!!! Also I think you should vlog!!! I bet more people watch flosstube than you think. It will be fun!!! See you tomorrow!!!
It was so nice to meet you! Thanks for all the help with my Blackbird Sampler and all the tips and advice with Flosstube. I can't wait to do this again with you :-)
I had a blast at the retreat, not as much progress as I expected but the lack of stitching was worth it to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones. Thanks for the input on the floss, I really appreciate it :-)
Your chatelaine is breathtaking!! Hope your stitch camp was fun I love all your plans for it. I have a Joan Elliott that I've had kitted for so long, I'm planning to start it in January but it scares the crap out of me ! Not sure why but it does. Great update :-)
Thank you. I'm hoping to start Joan's Autumn Goddess next year, I love her, but there are plenty of fractionals in it, which I'm not fond of doing. Which one are you planning on starting? Ms. OhSewCrafty has stitched tonnes of her ladies and they turn out beautiful, if you haven't yet, you should check out her channel. Thanks for watching :-)
I'm doing Belle de Mer which is not my usual style but I've been drawn to her for ages! Yes I love Stephanie's channel she's a master at them isn't she!! Ooh look forward to seeing your autumn goddess!!
Wow the colors on those threads are so different ! I tend to like the more brown but I'm not a gray person really. To bad whoever picked them to,send out didn't match it up more closely. Beautiful, colors all of them.
Thank you very much. I think I'm actually the one that grabbed to different colors from my LNS, but taking a closer look at my pattern I think I only require 1 skein for it so I should be alright :-) Thanks for the input though, I still haven't decided which one I'm going to use yet
And I think grey might stand out more on your fabric...but that sucks that it's 2 different colors!! Im like you and I'm more of a go to the store and quality control check my stuff myself ;) unless it's a kit lol
Thank you :-) I was kinda thinking the grey was a bit closer to the stitched version on the front as well, thanks for your opinion, I really appreciate it :-)
Do it! I've seen DMC conversions for other charts and they turn out equally as gorgeous! Good luck with your Chatelaine and if i can be of help please let me know. Happy Stitching!
Silly me! I should have paid more attention to my video. LOL! I was thinking of subbing out with threads from my stash, but to be honest I really haven't taken a really close look at the pattern yet to plan it all out
miskacat1 me too with you!!! It's rare to find a Canadian flosstuber so it will be nice to meet you face to face!! I hope we get a chance to visit and stitch together.. Perhaps cameoing in each others vlogs!! See you tomorrow!!!
I am stitching it on 32 count hand dyed Jobelin by Wichelt in Queen Anne Lace, it is an extremely soft evenweave and I love the subtle mottling. Thanks for watching :-)
Are those butterflies stitched 1 over 1? They are gorgeous. I think on the house where your hand dyed threads don't match, I would tweed them together and see how that looks.
Yes, the butterflies are 1 over 1, the rest of the pattern is over 2 for the most part, but the butterflies are very tedious. Thanks for the suggestion of tweeding the fibers together I appreciate the input :-)
Thank you very much. I put a link to the Frame Corner's Facebook page, their website was a bit out of date when I last checked it, so I figured the facebook page would be a better option. Their email is there or you could contact them through facebook and I'm sure they would be happy to get back to you with any information your looking for, but I'll also add a link to their Needlebug facebook page, it's a place to post pics of your WIPS and it's open for any designers patterns and their also very quick to respond though that group as well
A shame about those threads! I would use a strand of each. Then I wouldn't have to worry about what to do if I ran out. More of a pain to do but may look cool!
Great video. Love all your beautiful WIPS and new starts. Those butterflies are just stunning! Thank you for taking the time and share your work with us. Love your positive attitude!
Thank you for watching! I haven't had too many starts this year so it was fun to have a few new ones creep into my WIP pile :-)
I love all of your WIPS and your planned starts for the camp. Your yarn bowls are gorgeous. I have not seen these before. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a wonderful time at the camp and will look forward to all the yummy details!
Thank you, I'm super excited to go, there is always lots of enabling and stitching fun

Thank you for watching! I had tonnes of fun at the retreat, now to patiently wait for the next one :-)

Oh my goodness, Butterfly Lace is looking gorgeous! I'd use the brown for the house, although you've probably started it by now - lol!
Thank you. I have started the house but haven't gotten much further than the windows yet :-)
That CHATELAINE!!! AMAZING!!! Just started watching your videos from number 1 :)
Lol! Welcome to my channel! I hope you enjoy! :-)
I really enjoyed your video. I loved seeing your pretties. Til next time......... Keep on stitchin' cuz YOU count....
Thank you!
you'll do fantastic on the bumble bee. VS instructions are really good. I did her butterfly lace sampler.
Thanks for the encouragement, I'm sure it won't be bad once I get started. Looking at all the instructions at once is overwhelming. Which butterfly version did you do? I bought the thread packs for both the pink and purple versions as it was too hard to choose on just one :-)

Harrisburg, PA... It's with the Cross Stitch Club on FB.

Have fun at the retreat!! I can't to see all your progress. I think if your fabric is brown that the greyer floss will stand out better.
I had a blast at the retreat, not as much progress as I expected but the lack of stitching was worth it to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones. Thanks for the input on the floss, I really appreciate it :-)

I vote for using the brownish color for your house.
Thanks for your input :-)
Great video x
Thank you :-)
That is beautiful
Thank you :-)
Love that chatelaine!!! Wow!!!

I have butterfly garden too. I'm going to use DMC as much as I can
Do it! I've seen DMC conversions for other charts and they turn out equally as gorgeous! Good luck with your Chatelaine and if i can be of help please let me know. Happy Stitching!
I meant the Drawn Thread one :)
Silly me! I should have paid more attention to my video. LOL! I was thinking of subbing out with threads from my stash, but to be honest I really haven't taken a really close look at the pattern yet to plan it all out
Yeah, same. Cos some of the flowers look gorgeous in the variegated, but is it worth the cost just for a couple of stitches :/
I am going!!! I will be there on Thursday!!! Come say Hi!!! I will be vlogging as well!!!
How exciting! Can't wait to see you!
miskacat1 me too with you!!! It's rare to find a Canadian flosstuber so it will be nice to meet you face to face!! I hope we get a chance to visit and stitch together.. Perhaps cameoing in each others vlogs!! See you tomorrow!!!
Another great video! Are you stitching Butterfly Lace on evenweave or linen please.
I am stitching it on 32 count hand dyed Jobelin by Wichelt in Queen Anne Lace, it is an extremely soft evenweave and I love the subtle mottling. Thanks for watching :-)
Use one strand of each color- make it a blended color
Thanks for the great idea, I might have to do that :-)

That butterfuly is deop dead gorgeous! Am I blind or is the link for the stitching camp not here?

Thanks for the advice, that thought crossed my mind as well :-)
Couldn't find you under miskacat, are you under another name? Discovered you from Dee's vlog.
It's actually Miskacat1 I'm glad you found me :-)
