    If I make all the money I hope to make in the next couple of years, I want to buy a space and do this.

    Own an comic studio, that's one of my biggest dream since 8 years old. Honestly at that time Stan Lee and Marvel really inspired me . Hopefully someday my dream come true. Thanks for post this video. All the best for HelioscopePDX. Regards from Indonesia :)

    Wow very informative, thank you. You're establishing that "make a local studio" mindset across the entire Earth and the world is better off for it.

      Quick question:
      Does everyone leave their computer desktops / laptops / ipads / tablets / original art laying around or does everyone bring their valuables home every time they leave?
      Are you ever concerned about theft?
      What is your policy for tenants bringing in guests and how do you prevent random guests from causing trouble?

    Didn't realize y'all were the largest in the US. Nice to hear it from King Shit himself.

    Going to sound pathetic, but I wish I had chosen comic books as my career. I am tempted to throw away all my other projcets and focus on learning art to do this even though I am 50. I could do this full time until I learn, but I am not sure if the boat hasn't sailed. It was my dream as a child, but then I got side-tracked... *sigh*
    How great it would be to work in a studio such as this. I guess I will have to live through channels such as yours ;)

    Fabulous! How did you choose your name "Helioscope" and what does "pdx" mean? I love watching you all draw. ❤

    • @SteveLieber
      @SteveLieber ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Pdx is an abbreviation for Portland, Oregon. It was originally the three letter code for the airport here. Helioscope is just a word we liked!

    I was in the mentorship program in 2010. That panoramic photo of the studio at 0:46 is exactly how I remember it! (Recognize everybody!)

    I am very interested in cooperatively run and owned spaces, so this is really cool to see.

    Amazing video. It has the essence of an American comic book studio, it would be great to be at one of those tables. Thanks for the content, I hope you continue creating more. Greetings.

      They mention in the video that they don’t have any open spots. And when they do they seek out creators themselves
