Steven's dynamic with Layla is a clear contrast of what Marc had with her, but I'm also glad Steven explained to her why Marc was isolating himself to begin with.
Yea this was so intense. And I love Laylas badass-ness in this episode and it was important to have that convo between her and Marc …. I can’t wait to find out what’s coming next.
There are clues to the third personality in the show itself. In the "three faces" scene in the credits sequence, for example. And if Khonshu could just take over the body he wouldn't need the cooperation of an avatar.
The show would have us believe that the mummified pharaoh that Steven found must be Alexander, because a) the inscription is in ancient Macedonian, and b) Alexander was the only Macedonian pharaoh. But a) Alexander's family used Greek rather than Macedonian in all their official inscriptions, and b) Alexander wasn't the only Macedonian pharaoh -- the entire Ptolemaic dynasty of pharaohs was descended from Alexander's Macedonian general Ptolemy.
The Goddess at the end is Taweret who was originally the Goddess of fertility and rejuvenation .......I would focus on the rejuvenation part. She may be saving Marc/Steven and helping them deal with their DID so they can defeat Harrow.
Isn't the girl who helped Marc in the last episode also Taweret's chosen one? I can't remember but it'd make sense if she was. Maybe she convinced Tawaret to help Marc/Stephen after their encounter.
@@tylerfuller-battles8370 he’s in the overvoid a made up marvel place where the gods live and where Marc goes in the comics everything there is meant to be familiar yet not totally normal

Well, you call the episode "The Tomb" and you'd better make it scary, and this certainly delivered on that. I agree that this was the best episode so far. And you'll get no spoilers from me, since I at this point I have no idea what the heck is going to happen next (and I've read at least some of the comics).
Marc has what is called Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), meaning he has multiple personalities, aka "alters", within his mind that may be limited to manifest at different times from one another, usually from a certain event that triggers one to come out. People who have DID tend to have what is referred to as a headspace, which is a part of their subconscious in which they're able to manifest their alters simultaneously, interact with them individually, etc. My guess is when Marc was shot/on the brink of death, he retreated into his headspace - possibly even for the first time. If that IS the case, my guess is the tomb that is left closed is likely housing another alter.
At first I though that Layla's fight with the undead tomb guardian couldn't be topped but then we go all "Jacob's Ladder" at the end there. I think this is my favorite episode so far.
Steven Grant is that personality which Marc always wanted to be for Layla The 3rd personality who may be named Jake is the personality that who Marc is afraid of becoming That's why we love Steven as Marc is the better version which he wanted to be that's why Marc created Steven Grant personality

He's not in a coma. Marc was shot in the heart. . . twice. Without his heart, his body can not function and dies within minutes. No possibility that Layla dragged him out of the desert fast enough to save him. If Konshu had been able to intervene, he may well have been able to save Marc, but Konshu is imprisoned by the council of gods. This is the afterlife.
Also possible that Taweret is intervening within the precious moments before permanent death. Time can flow differently in different dimensions, let alone within the realm of the gods. I've read ytd that Taweret is associated with healing, and also with water, so maybe Marc falling into the water brought him into contact with her domain, and she chose to intervene and try to save him.
