Very nice to know Joann is now starting to sell t-shirt yarn! My crochet business focuses on crochet bags using t-shirt yarn as well.

I have a question, the bags made out of t-shirt yarn, are they light or heavyweight ??? Or it depends on the size of the yarn and the bag ?
@@lkkh00 I primarily make bags out of t shirt yarn and I would say they are on the heavier side, specially tote bags
@@blessedknotsstore even smaller bags ? I mean around 30cm/20cm , the heaviness isn't that bothering, i wanna make one for college i dunno i should make it with tshirt yarn or another one !? (Not a tote bag tho).
@@lkkh00 you can definitely try it! Good thing about using t shirt yarn is it's very sturdy and durable. But it will definitely make your hand and/or wrist hurt, so take plenty of breaks and lots of hand stretching
I now want to try this yarn! My one thing is when you said potholders. The yarn is polyester so potholders out of it have the potential to melt. I would really recommend cotton for potholders. I love your bag though and totally want one for myself!

I was so excited to see the t-shirt yarn at Joanne’s. I actually made a halter top. It’s thick but nice in my opinion.
I've been using it also. I'm working on a laptop sleeve and so far it has gone really well. My only issue is that my hands/arms start hurting pretty quickly, which I don't normally have unless I've been crocheting all day. I'm not sure if that's my tension or what, but it's odd.
A bag is actually my next project with it, so I'm glad I got to see how yours worked out. 😊
Oh a laptop case is a great idea! and hmm that is strange, maybe it is your tension, this yarn definitely can take a little bit of muscle it feels like lol well much more than what we are used too. Maybe try to size up hook size next time! I think that could be really helpful too!🥰

i recently picked this up and became obsessed! I made a bag a little bit bigger than yours. Don't remember how many factory knots i found though. My Joann's doesn't seem to carry all the colors in store though, the really only ever have the purple, blue, green and yellow. Or i just got unlucky the few times I went there looking for the black t-shirt yarn. But i do love working with this yarn!
I have gone since filming this video and it has been hit or miss for me too with color selection. This was an extremely lucky day! Lol but ever since it has been slimmer pickings, maybe alot of people wanted to try it! Im so glad to hear youre enjoying it as well! Im sure your bag came out adorable! I love the idea of making it alittle bigger!

I bought the t-shirt yarn as well. You did not mention anything about a center pull. I was unable to find one so I balled all my yarn and found 2 factory knots per skein. One skein had three. Over all I like this t-shirt yarn. I made a basket, worked up quickly, pretty good stiffness, not as great as cord style yarns. Also not as hard on the hands as cord yarns. I also recommend this yarn and I will also not get too attached for the same reason as you. Loved the Big Twist Posh.
Oh noo! Im so sorry you had so many factory knots! Thats terrible, and I did not do a center pull on this i simply just worked the skein from the outside in and that surprisingly worked out really well for me. Im glad you also liked it though! Well see what happens with it moving forward

Oh hello! Welcome, thank you! 2 has become my lucky number but 222 is my angel number and it has to do with my father who passed away a few years ago. Idk how much you believe in signs from loved ones but when I see this number alot I know its him 💙
