As full time van dwellers ourselves a lot older than you, I ended up in hospital in Scotland in 2021 they saved my life I had sepsis plus major life changing surgery...... Here we are in 2024 & still we live in a van & travel in UK I still need more surgery but live each day to the full...... Get well soon the body is an amazing machine 🙏🙏😻😻

Awww John, you're amazing. What an absolute gem you are. You are being incredibly brave faced, the strain this must be on your emotions are incomprehensible. You are absolutely right, your family comes first, and Mandy needs you so do what you have to, just make sure you look after yourself throughout all this. It takes it's toll and if you do not eat well or sleep well during this time in particular, you will burn out. So get the nourishment and the sleep so you can be there for Mandy. Thank you John. My husband was three months in Wythenshawe Hospital last year with sepsis. Rest is almost impossible because they are coming at you from every direction and he was so scared and mentally exhausted. Twelve months on and he is doing fine, recovery is slow and cannot be rushed. My heart goes out to you both.
I'm sitting with my partner who is recovering from cancer surgery. I know that basically helpless feeling and having to trust someone else to look after the person you love. Stay positive John and look after yourself as well. We both send big hugs to you and Mandy.

I’m grateful that Mandy has taken the first steps of her long recovery. Each day hopefully she will regain strength and vigor and that’s what’s important. Oh gosh,poor Mandy - I have a fair idea what she’s going through, I’m slowly recovering from five weeks in hospital and two surgeries and my healing was very slow until I started taking zinc supplements and from that I could literally SEE the healing on my bruising starting to disappear rapidly…….so zinc is my advice for Mandy ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh my days, poor Mandy 😢 If it's any help after a botched surgery, which caused me to need emergency reconstruction surgery on my liver and caused sepsis... I recovered and have only felt better. It did take a good while, it was restrictive but it does give you a drive to live your best life. Speedy and full recovery Mandy, much love💕

Take care of yourselves and sooner than it feels it will be right now I’m sure you will both be recovering out of the hospital together, in fresh air, breathing more deeply. Mandy’s recovery is of course your priority. Thank heavens she’s in a better state of health than in your last video. Taking her recovery really slowly will be crucial in the long term…..that incision means a lot of physio to look after muscles that support the lower back too to prevent problems later down the line.
