Its crazy how well cast this show was. Everyone was great, even the side characters and extras. No dead weight.
Yeah, very few shows achieve that, like Malcolm in the middle or Seinfeld.
Apparently, you didn’t see the episode where Carrie’s boss, Pruzan, gets canned for being “dead weight”.

This is what happens these days with IG and FB. People being perfectly fine with their lives until they start comparing it with what they see on social media.
So true. They see a nice picture on IG and think people live like that 24/7. That's why those are just pictures. No one takes photos of crying their ass off under the sheets or being in hospital sick. You pick good moments all the time. I don't understand how people can't figure that out. This is why they live under impression everyone lives better and their life sucks. But its a simple matter of being a private person. Its not like you can't start doing that. Also, to many people this feels forced and fake. I guess they think they would do it if anything "good" happened to them. And in reality a lot of good things happen its just that we don't always stop and take a picture of it and post it online. Cause its not natural to even think about it and you just go on with your life. And people who do it are building their lives online and they have a obsession with that. Like people who take pictures of food they eat in restaurant. Its so dumb.
@@sasagrcevic475 I dated a chick who was like that. Had constant FOMO and felt like she needed to go to all these places all over the world because it seemed like “everyone else” was. She was never satisfied enough being at home after a couple months. I don’t live like that and am a very private person so I just couldn’t make it work with her and I wasn’t gonna live my life like that. Social media has been a great and terrible thing all at one time.
It’s amazing this episode is 20 years old and it seems like just yesterday that people went to CVS or Walgreens to get their picture developed and now they just take it on their phones. Also Arthur getting a flip phone was a big deal.

They were foreseeing the future of Facebook & Instagram, to showcase how unhappy people need to be by comparison to others.

Although this was tv show scene but this is exactly what social media does to millions of ppl. you see ppl posting doing things or someone mora attractive than you post pictures and you start comparing yourself to others all of sudden it triggers your weak mind eventually you end up doubting yourself going into depression etc. sadly
that’s how human mind works.

It's one of the craziest ironies that his stand up is so horrible, but he is so perfect and hilarious on this show. Obviously the chemistry with Leah Remini is of paramount importance.
@boxychubbo6922 So true. When I was doing stand up a guy who I didn't know came in to do a guest spot. A guest spot is when a more established, or better connected, comic gets a few minutes to work on some of their new bits as they sharpen it up for their own paying customers. The word was that they were developing a sitcom for this guy in which he played a NYC Transit cop with a wife way too hot to be with him. Which eventually developed into an IPS driver from Queens and into The King of Queens. Thank God for good writers because his act was not funny. At all.
