Unfortunately, it's virtually impossible to buy this car at MSRP. The dealerships are adding 3 to 4 thousand dollars over MSRP on this car. OUTRAGEOUS!!!!
i just got myself a 2020 nissan versa sv. i'm a toyota person but i think I dropped the gun too fast and this is what i ended up leaving the lot with, lol i'm grateful though, its the perfect car for me. all glory to god! I like this kind of videos. i have videos of my car on my channel as well and videos about the process of getting my car.
@@davidfajardo9244 I just ordered mine last week . Super easy . Asked what I wanted and I got the k5 gt with gt1 package . Didn’t even require a down payment . But 3-5 month delivery
I'm a Mazda guy, but this is the hottest sedan in it's segment. One red flag I picked up from this review is the light steering wheel, other than that this car looks like a home run
It's only really light when going slow. It gets a bit heavier. You can also use custom drive mode to have sport steering and normal drivetrain/throttle, makes it a bit heavier. I only got 460 miles on mine, but it's leaps above my '19 Fusion I traded in.
I know they are different segments but if you had to buy this or a New Honda Civic hatchback touring which would you buy? They are the same price. I have refundable deposits on both but due to lack of inventory I’ve not been able to drive either.
you mentioned that Charlie reviewed this car's audio system but when I clicked the link, he reviewed the sound system on an EX which is a Bose variant. I don't believe the GT-Line is available with the Bose system, will you all be reviewing the non-Bose audio system found in the GT-Line?
Hi Kenny, I have a GT LINE, the stereo is decent. But you have to go into SETTINGS, then TONE, adjust treble all the way to the right, and BASS all the way to the right stopping one spot below max. Bump the midrange up one spot from the middle. After making these adjustments, it really sounds quite good.
@margel2307 honestly I love it. I've put about 12k miles into it. It does have one safety recall I've had to get taken care of, but otherwise no issues
If they would only make the GT with AWD I would buy one. But no, they leave the more powerful 2.5 engine as FWD only. Yet they make the Stinger GT-Line with the 2.5 engine AWD, but it's roughly $5-6k more expensive (if not more). Word is they're doing this to "protect sales of the Stinger", but both cars are apparently being dropped at the end of their life cycles, and the Stinger is supposedly on its last year for 2023...so what is there to protect? Nothing. I just don't understand Kia's thought process on this one. Give the customers what they want.
The stitching on the dash is fake. But done so well it even fooled you! Nice review . I love my GT LINE, bought it last May, perfect timing, no mark up!
I live in Flroida so really don't need AWD but does the car feel stronger compared to the FWD or are they about the same. I just want to be able to step on it when needed and not feel like a peice of crap lol.
it doesn't make a ton of power so you would be fine with the FWD but the AWD option will absolutely have better driving dynamics considering the fact that this car doesn't offer any LSD of any kind and also considering the AWD will eliminate any torque steer or wheel hop/spin.
Don't bother shopping for a K5 because dealers are asking for up to $5000 markup. I was going to buy one but after several dealers told me " It's a demand thing" I don't even want one. Same happened with the Telluride. So I crossed off Kia and Hyundai from any of my potential purchases. Shame seems like they came a long way with their cars.
I bought my K5 GT LINE with premium package in june of 21. Its been great so far, 22.000 miles now. Like it very much. I totally feel bad for people shopping for new cars now. But I think that things will start Normalizing soon. I paid MSRP, tried to get it down a little, but while I was there , they sold 2 more k5s! So MSRP it was, and I got lucky, they were offering a 0.0 intrest incentive, which I got. Just lucky as I wasn't really expecting to buy that day, but they had the exact car I wanted in the color I wanted, so with the incentive they were offering, I bought that day. This is such a great freeway cruiser, dont give up on getting one. Maybe another month or two, go see if you can get one at MSRP.
@@annettecourtland1222 mmm, sorry but most will agree this is much better looking. You could trade the sonata in on one of these..personally, I can't get past the fish mouth design on the sonata.
@@johnfranklin5277 That’s just _your_ opinion, sir. Like I said, it is overrated and overhyped in _my_ opinion. I don’t need to test drive a FWD Kia to know the driving dynamics aren’t better than a Cadillac CT5 or either of it’s competitors which I have test driven. Won’t even bother with this or the Hyundai Sonota. Y’all are the only ones who think they’re that good. So I’ll leave them for people like you to buy and bring back to your families. The styling isn’t my cup of coffee either.
I have this EXACT car and so far I LOVE it. Everytime I look at the red seats I fall in love with it again lol 😅
Great Review. I must say. This K5 turns heads especially in that wolf gray color.
I own one with the black interior i love it .. Sport mode no traction control is a blast

It’s simple then don’t buy it! The only way the price will come down
I bought it at MSRP, no markups just TTL. I won’t lie, I had to dig around to find the dealership but they do exist! Don’t give up!

Trade it in
Danggg you got yourself a RACECAR
It also has remote start with the Kia app that gives you the capability to adjust the temperature to your liking!!!
In 2025, when I pay off my Nissan Altima. I’m getting a 2022 Kia K5 GT-Line AWD. Love the wolf grey and red interior definitely getting that combo
In 2025 might as well get the 2025 GT Line lol
Nobody cares
@@mharro88 why so rude ?

Do the Sonata Sel Plus the sister vehicle to this.

By the way these seats although beautiful are not real leather as the narrator indicates but an imitation leather.
Why isn’t your full bar led taillights on I thought it came standard on all Gt-Lines

How’s the resale value?
Used ones with 20-30k miles are going for more than or new prices. But thats partially this market.
