Lucky to see the iron ore train heading to Zouérate. We are nearing the town of Choûm, Mauritania.

We are not far from Choûm in the Adrar Region of Mauritania. The iron ore train heading to Zouérate in the Tiris Zemmour region passed us. Gerak Darma's team is so excited to see the train again. We saw it while heading to Zouérate and now saw it while leaving Zouérate. The carriages are empty since it is on the way to pick up the iron ore. Moving in the opposite direction from us makes us realize how long the train is. We will reach Choûm soon and then continue our journey to Atâr. The train only operates once a day, and we are so lucky to see it 3 times during this trip. The train is operated by the state agency Société nationale industrielle et minière (SNIM)
