Exploring the exhibition at Carthage national Museum in Tunis, Tunisia.
We are currently at the Carthage National Museum, situated atop Byrsa Hill in Tunis, Tunisia. The museum is undergoing renovations, but it still features an exhibit that reveals the new architectural design planned for the Carthage Acropolis on Byrsa Hill. Gerak Darma's team can view some of the Roman mosaics exhibited within the museum. Typically, the Carthage National Museum houses an extensive collection of artifacts and exhibits from the Punic, Roman, and Byzantine periods of Carthage. Although we're not fortunate enough to see everything today, we plan to return once the Acropolis's new arrangement is complete in 2026.

St Louis Cathedral or Acropolium was built on top of part of the Grand Temple.
The god Aesculapius is the same as the god Eshmun, both are the god for medicine
Interesting. Why the different name?
This was a big Grand Temple during its time.
Le Grand Temple.
It must be grandeur when it was still standing
The walls still standing after all these years. Amazing
Kudos to the second century B.C. town planner.
A well planned town indeed.
The planning of this district is amazing for second century B.C. town.
What a view from up here.
A Panoramic view of Hannibal District.
Could be just a water reservoir
Could be a swimming pool, a small one.
Too small and too deep to be a swimming pool.
Remarkably, this has endured despite the Roman conquest of the region.
Amazing to see all these.

Hannibal is famous, but sometimes for the wrong reasons.
Not Dr. Hannibal Lecter.
Hahaha
What is left of the Punic residential area after the Romans conquered them.
The Romans built new city on top of the conquered Carthage, it was called Roman Carthage.
Hannibal was a great Carthaginian general.
Great statesman
